El Salvador and China are marking the fifth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and both countries are now reaping the dividends of increased cooperation, trade and exchanges. In this episode of Leaders Talk, Wang Guan asks Salvadoran Vice-President Félix Ulloa about his new vision for a prosperous future as El Salvador looks to China to set up more partnerships. Ulloa dismisses claims of Chinese neo-colonialism, saying that Washington turned its back on Central America and that Western media misrepresent El Salvador. He also notes that recognizing the one-China principle is a coherent stance internationally and points to its benefits and advantages.
