Erich Muhsfeldt was born on the 18th of February 1913 in Neubrück then part of the German Empire. In 1927, he completed 8 classes of elementary school, and three years later he gained the profession of baker. Muhsfeldt was married and had 1 son.
On 30 January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg and the same year Muhsfeldt joined the SA. In 1937 he switched to the SS and in 1939 he became a member of the Nazi Party.
The Second World War began on 1 September 1939 when Nazi Germany invaded Poland.
In January 1940 Muhsfeldt became a member of the SS Division Totenkopf, or Death's Head Units, which was an elite division of the Waffen-SS. Waffen SS was the military branch of the SS.

When I was in the 9th grade. Our teacher showed us a film on the Holocaust. I was the only person that quietly crying because I know what the film meant. One in my class said "run the film backwards look at the stick man. Many were laughing. The teacher had us do a two page report. She quietly said to me that I didn't have to do it. I got a A on it because I cried. Now I wonder if their view changed being older.

Thank God he was extradited to Poland. If he was left in Germany, his life sentence might have easily turned into a shorter sentence. The first Auschwitz trial in 1947 in Poland resulted in 21 death penalties. The second Auschwitz trial in 1963 resulted in very mild, ridiculous sentences. It’s an absolute disgrace how many Nazi criminals avoided any responsibility after the war.

You're so insecure you even had to change the insult, to something you perceived as more piercing lol. Pathetic. Anyway: when most people behave peacefully, they do it because are afraid of the consequences. Take a look at History, since you are so smart (lol...) and confirm my words for yourself. Since Ancient Times up to the 20th century (at least): Genocides, several sadistic tortures using gruesome yet imaginative devices, child sacrifice, gang raping, cannibalism, using pieces of corpses as decoration artifacts, infecting people with diseases intentionally, genetic experiments, etc, etc. The examples are numerous and far from being isolated episodes. But, dwelling on the internet, I know it's inevitable. I will have to read comments from irrational negative, ignorant and imbecile grunts.

I am appalled by the behavior of this man toward other human beings. What bothers me the most is his treatment of children and the fact he burned people alive. The most disturbing scene in all of your footage is all of the children pulling up their sleeves and showing the numbers that were stamped on them. How horrible do you have to be to brand children like cattle. 😢 I spent more than a decade of my life protecting children, and my heart weeps for all of these babies. 😢💔😹

This man was only a foot note in all of the atrocities committed during the holocaust. The number of six million murdered jews is just far to abstract to comprehence for "normal " human beings to let sink in what really happened and how big it was. The SS thought that an appropriate placement for a psychopath is in a prison camp where he can help make it a living hell. I’ve read that there were lots of SS guards in these camps who wanted to get out. However, they were told that somebody has to be a guard so buck up and deal with it. Plus, even if they were transferred, the only place they could be sent was to the eastern front to either freeze to death or die at the hands of the Russians. I don’t know what I’d do if given that choice.

It’s happening right now Your blind to it….covid scene vaccines - Biden open borders Fentanyl , woke culture etc …u have social media but they control the narrative…there was a large group of Germans that didn’t support Hitler, they had to turn thier cheeks…knowing Jews were being slattered- even pastors at churches….I know this because my mom lived through it..

The poor woman narrating this video I pray finds some solace in doing this narration, because I grew up in Miami, Florida and still have a lot of Jewish friends and acquaintances who put on the same kind of front to their personalities while recalling the barbarity of those criminals whom I won't degrade my pet by comparing them to dogs. They were the lowest form of vermin.

The Soviets did not invite the same media people to their Gulag "islands". 2:16 Otto Baum was eventually promoted to SS-Oberführer but the image shows him as SS-Obersturmbannführer which is two ranks below (lieutenant-colonel). Why two ranks? Because the Germans had a unique rank in the SS (not present in the Wehrmacht): they had two "colonel" ranks. SS-Standartenführer would be the roughly equivalent of a colonel and SS-Oberführer would be between SS-Standartenführer and SS-Brigadeführer (general rank). Most sources will say it's a "senior colonel" rank which is fitting as it was closer to colonel than general.

It seems so counter productive to starve, torture, kill your forced labor force.. Just shows how animalistic the Germans really were. If left to do so long enough they would have killed off all prisoners and had nobody to do their manufacturing. Really sickening.
