Years back, my Pastor was preaching a sermon. A man who did not speak any english came in and sat in the back. During altar call he came up and gave his life to Christ. He hung around after to talk to our Pastor to thank him. My Pastor had to get a translator and the man was confused. He told us he had heard the entire sermon and the altar call in Spanish. There are no limits on what God can do to reach someone.

also i want to add Rachel and everyone else the more specific we are to Yahsua in prayer the more likely your prayers will be answered so when you pray Rachel my advice is first repent make sure the nanny also use her full name and she repents also anoint her with olive oil bless by God and tell God why we still need your Nanny on earth and what great things she has done for you the more personal you make the prayer the better and if she does not get well pray the cancer does not spread which we should pray anyway cuz cancer does spread there is also cures online for cancer i can refer you to if you wish i will pray really hard for her tonight.. this is only my advice there is no how to pray to God Handbook .I'm sure they sell it online but God wants it to be personal.. Handbooks are a fraud anyway.. but i am telling you how it has worked for me in the past... Talk to God as if you are talking to a person God doesn't want written prayers by people we do not know it has to come from your heart .. please let us know what happened and if there is anything else i can do for you i am always here send me a message.

Shortly after I was baptized in tongues I volunteered on the prayer line in which people would call for prayer from around the world. Long story short, I picked up a call from Israel, ran in tongues as usual the person on the line asked me if I spoke Hebrew, I said no, she started to interpret, still didn't believe me asked again if I spoke Hebrew, I gave her the same answer and gave her the name of the country where I was from and we don't speak Hebrew. I continued praying as she continued to interpret.

Was he/she in need of prayer, or In need of interpreting you??? You have weered off from the real purpose and made it all about YOURSELF. And THAT is the biggest problem with charismatics today.

I had a pastor I wanted to talk to my daughter about her drug addiction. He started to pray and babble strange sounds today over my daughter... It felt really off and I am afraid it officially pushed her further away from Jesus. I keep thinking about how she looked at him like he was crazy....and she looked at me like, "Is this for real mom? " TBH I felt like it was absolute gibberish myself and I was annoyed that he would do that when I just needed a male figure to explain that Jesus loves her. He told the demon to flee and my daughter was so mad at me. I feel like I just pushed my daughter into relapsing because I tried to have her speak with this pastor I barely know. 😩😫 Then I read these verses and I thought ugh, I wish I would've known. I pray God gives me the chance to set things right and lead her back to Jesus. 1 Corinthians 14:21-33 (KJV) In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

To be clear, not everyone is given the gift of tongues. We all have different gifts from the Lord. ❤️
@64caca
@64caca 4 жыл бұрын
With due respect, that is incorrect. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the bible says He lives in us, and we therefore possess ALL the gifts. Some are hard-wired meaning we naturally walk in and exhibit those gifts. Some gifts are used as needed. For instance, I have had a "word of knowledge" on occasion but I don't continuously walk in that gifting. Speaking in tongues is for everyone. I have noticed that some people have struggled with it. There can be a hindrance that causes that, or some people just don't really care enough to pursue the Lord if they are struggling. My personal experience was that it took me one week before my tongue was loosed so it flowed freely. It was quite comical. I don't normally comment on these threads but please don't be mislead. Anyone reading this - don't give up. And if you really want to know what your gifts are, there is ample information available. Derek Prince is one of my favorite to listen to on KZfaq. Be blessed!

TO ANYONE INTERESTED - and respectfully to all comments from Danny Murdock, this is false doctrine. If you REALLY want to know the truth, talk to the ultimate source, the LORD. ASK and you shall receive. So I will ask for all. Father, we come to Your throne of grace in the precious Name of Jesus and ask that You would reveal the truth about Your gifts. We are about speaking/praying in an unknown tongue/ language. Your children desire the truth as it is written, the truth will set us free. Thank You Father that You are the Giver and You give Your gifts freely. We praise You and honor You. Blessings to all. I think the creator of the universe can handle this.

I often hear my brothers and sisters resorting to 1Cor.14:2 to justify some sort of prayer language, but Paul also wrote 1Cor.14:9, which adds clarity and balance to verse 2. These two verse are essentially saying the same thing in the beginning, but the conclusion is vastly different. Verse two says, you are speaking to God, but verse 9 says you are JUST speaking into the air. Paul had just finished using the example of musical instruments to show how important it is to make coherent and intelligent sounds. He makes a conclusion in verse 9: So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. In other words, anyone who speaks in this UNITELLIBLE manner is just speaking into the air. I had a dear friend who has since passed, that insisted that speaking in UNKNOWN/unintelligent words was speaking to God. I tried on many occasion to tell him that I was well aware of that scripture and many more, but still came to the conclusion, in light of ALL the scriptures that many people had taken Paul's words COMPLETELY out of context. Peter said that certain people would do this. 2Peter 3:16 - He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Contained in 1Corinthians, chapters 12, 13, and 14 are a total of 84 verse. Approximately 7 of these verses (a small percentage) are typically used to promote a special "prayer language" that is supposedly available to ALL believers. 1Cor. 13:1 1Cor. 14:2 1Cor. 14:4 1Cor. 14:5 1Cor. 14:14-15 1Cor. 14:18 1Cor. 14:39 In these verses, Paul uses hyperbole (exaggerate statements) and figures of speech to make certain points that are completely misinterpreted. But also within the 84 verses, Paul gives some clear information and some definitive instructions which is often ignored. 1Corinthians 12:3 ...no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. 1Corinthians 12:4- There are different kinds of gifts, 1Corinthians 12:7 - Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 1Corinthians 12:8-10 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers to another prophecy to another distinguishing between spirits to another speaking in different kinds of tongues and to still another the interpretation of tongues. Nine spiritual gifts are listed, that were distributed throughout the body of Christ according to the will of the Holy Spirit, NOT the desires of men and women. 1Corinthians 12:30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? The answer to Paul's rhetorical questions is obviously, NO!. 1Corinthians 12:31 ...eagerly desire the greater gifts... 1Corinthians 13:1 - If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels... Everything thing after this is typically ignored. However, this is suppose to be the "love" chapter, where Paul expressed the importance of doing EVERYTHING in love. To do this he uses hyperbole, some extreme examples to make his point. Nothing is to be taken literal. Notice the grammatical pattern: 1Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge... if I have a faith that can move mountains... If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames... You cannot make a doctrine out of any of these statements, anymore than you could the similar statements that follow: 1Corinthians 12:15-19 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” .... ...if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” ... If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?... If they were all one part, where would the body be? I think I will just end my comments here. This thing got longer than I intended. If you have any questions, let me know. Bottom line, THIS DOCTRINE OF A PRAYER LANGUAGE is definitely a distortion of Paul's words, and it has caused enormous confusion, division, and contention in the body of Christ. So sad.

That's my opinion too about the not earthly languages. But of course that Holy Spirit can give also the gift to speak for example in Japanese , you being afrikan and not knowing Japanese. Initially, the reason disciples received the gift of known languages but unknown, not learned for them, was that they had to speak to other nations and they hadn't the possibility to learn another language at school. Now, if you receive as gift a known but not learned of you language, is as evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit and to pray privately with God ( you not knowing what you are saying) or in gathering, but with an interpreter. The unknown languages, yes, i believe that they came along times, for speaking with God in prayer, what the Holy Spirit wants you to pray when for example you don't know what to pray for or when you are descoraged, and without knowing satan what you are praying. I don't speak ( yet ) in tongues but i ask the heavenly Father to help me to, because i really want to be a private prayer language between me and Him and satan to not know not a syllable from my prayer. I don't ask this gift for exult myself but for intimacy between me and the Creator. If He will decide to give me this gift too. Shalom

Speaking in tongues is the ability to be able to speak in a foreign language here of earth, an unlearned tongue, to spread the gospel of Christ. When you speak in tongues the person of that language should be able to understand what you are saying. Acts 2:1-15 [1]And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. [2]And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. [3]And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. [4]And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. [5]And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. [6]Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. [7]And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? [8]And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? [9]Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, [10]Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, [11]Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. [12]And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? [13]Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. [14]But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: [15]For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

Tongues are LANGUAGES. Anyone claiming to speak in a spiritual tongue has to able to be tested, TO prove the authenticity. Read what GOD did on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. 12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? God is the ONLY ONE that translates His Word into any particular language as HE chooses. That is why He has only provided ONE book of His Word to us in this modern day. It is an authorized, all authority, all truth King James Version book of God's Word because they are His words. He translated His Word and used Holy men who SPAKE and the words were written down. Anyone speaking in a spiritual tongue must only speak in a spiritual tongue in the presence of other believers if there are TWO or more believers able to discern the words and confirm the authenticity. Otherwise, you cannot use unknown tongues as proof of salvation or the Holy Spirit. Because ANYONE can make up gobble-dee-gook.

What a lot of nonsense. I do not see a single scripture that says there is a private prayer language (glossolalia). There are scriptures, when taken out of context, do seem to read as if there is such a thing, but a proper study of what is said in context shows that there is not. I'm not saying that the personal experience of those who claim there is is not a deeply moving and sincere experience. What I am saying is that for it to be a miraculous gift given by The Holy Spirit, it would need to have scriptural example and authority and the use of it would not contradict what we read about tongues in the Bible. You may, or may not be aware that glossolalia, or tongues speaking as we know it today, was first uttered on 1st January, 1901 by Agnes Ozman, a member of Charles Fox Parham's church. He is considered to be the father of the charismatic movement. He thought Agnes was speaking Chinese. Many in the congregation began to speak glossolalia as she was doing and these sincere good hearted people went to China to bring the gospel to that nation. On arrival they quickly and embarrassingly discovered they were not speaking Chinese. It is a shame that no-one had the gift of interpretation or discernment. This embarrassing situation was explained away by declaring that this particular type of tongue was a prayer language and various scriptures have been used to support the new position regarding this unknown language. For the scriptures relating to tongues to be relevant and applicable to both known languages miraculously spoken and to glossolalia, they must both be of the same character, purpose, nature and be un-falsifiable. 1st Corinthians was written in C55 AD, whereas Acts was written in C63 although many biblical scholars believe it to be after C70. My point, and it's not an essential one, is that for Paul's instructions to the Corinthians to make sense, he must be writing about the type of tongues we see in operation in Acts. We know that the tongues in Acts were world languages. Indeed, no one to my knowledge has ever heard someone speaking glossolalia and said "I hear you speaking in my language". Here are some things we know about the miraculous gifts; they are given sovereignly by The Holy Spirit as he pleases and for the building up of The Church (Heb 2:3-4). I am not aware of any gifts being spoken of by The Holy Spirit (i.e. revealed in The Word, The Bible) as being for personal use and personal edification. 1 Cor 12:7 and 14:12 ".....the good of all". i.e. the church. God never intended any spiritual gift for private benefit. If tongues are for the common good how can their use be personal? There is no scripture that clearly states that there is a non-world language given by the Holy Spirit as a prayer language but there are several misunderstood ones that could be read as indicating there is: 1 Cor 14:2 "For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God". In context this is saying at church, when no one present understands the language spoken, only God understands what is being said. 1 Cor 14:4 "Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church". This is not a statement of doctrine or clarification of purpose. No gifts are given for personal edification, but for the common good. It is saying that is wrong. vs7-9 Must be intelligent words with definition that can be understood (and therefore can be translated) otherwise you speak into the air. If this is speaking of glossolalia, then what is the point of a prayer language that needs an interpreter? If this refers to glossolalia as a private prayer language, which as you know is not understood by the one speaking it, then this verse tells you it us just speaking into the air i.e. is of no value or use as a prayer language. v10 "Undoubtedly there are all sorts of languages in the world, yet none of them is without meaning". This passage makes it very clear the instructions Paul is giving relates to known languages. Therefore none of it relates to glossolalia. That being the case you can't use these verses as proof text for glossolalia. v14 "For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful". Is praying with an unfruitful mind what God wants ? NO ! being unfruitful is not good in any context. So how should we pray? v15 "So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my understanding". You see here that to pray in the Spirit requires using your mind, that is prayer that God wants to hear. "God is Spirit and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth" (John 4:24). When asked how to pray, Jesus said "And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words". You cannot fail to be impressed by the examples of prayer in the Bible. Daniel, Ezekial, Stephen, to mention only a few who were clearly praying in The Spirit. Today, the term "praying in the spirit" is used more often than not to mean praying in an ecstatic language. Biblically, that concept is false. Furthermore, we are told to not think about what we are saying or wanting to say when praying in tongues. That is a false teaching that has no basis in scripture by way of instruction or example. I take Paul's warning in 1 Tim 4:1 seriously. 1 Cor 14:17 "You are giving thanks well enough, but no one else is edified". If tongues are for the common good how can their use be personal? 1 Cor 14:21 In the Law it is written: With other tongues and through the lips of foreigners I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to me, says the Lord. (Isaiah 28:1-12) 22 Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers"; This, like v10, clarifies that Paul's instruction relates to world languages. The nature of biblical tongues is that they are known world languages. Also, we are informed that tongues are a sign for unbelievers, so how can their use as a private prayer language achieve that? Let us be clear, The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to give instruction for the use of tongues as the gift was being used in an out of control manner contrary to the way intended. The context of ch 14 relates to the use of tongues in The Church. May be there was even babbling resurfacing among the Corinthians whose background was pagan worship. Anyway, ch14 is not legislating the use of a prayer language. We are told tongues are a sign for unbelievers, and their purpose is given in 1 Cor 14:6 "if I speak in tongues, what good will I be to you, unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or word of instruction?" Tongues bring something revealed from God that must be shared. It is not a personal message. It's source is God. I have never heard an interpretation revealing something the speaker didn't know already. SO, by definition it was not a biblical tongue and whatever was interpreted was already known to the speaker and so could have been said in English. in 1 Corinthians 13:1, Paul refers to the language of the angels. This passage is often referred to as proof that glossolalia is a spiritual, even angelic language. However, the context is hyperbolic and not to be taken as a proof text. A proof text out of context is a pretext. No, Paul is saying "even if I could speak in the language of angels (notice language is singular), but don't have love, it would be of no use. That is the purpose of all the other hyperbolic statements in order to make the illustration that it doesn't matter what you do or could do unless you have Love. Love is greater than even the greatest spiritual gift. In the next verse, he referred to knowing all mysteries, having all knowledge and all faith. These are rhetorical devices and out of our grasp. So we might think that the language of the angels is as well. Logically, if glossolalia were angel language, given each person speaks a different style of it, must mean every angel (and presumably there are billions), speaks a different language. Hence they don't understand each other either without an interpreter present. Another proof text taken out of context is Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Two key points make it highly unlikely that Romans 8:26 is referring to tongues or glossolalia as a prayer language. First, Romans 8:26 states that it is the Spirit who groans, not believers. Second, Romans 8:26 states that the groans of the Spirit cannot be expressed. The very essence of speaking in tongues is uttering words. So far I have only referred to scripture to explain the view I take. I have not yet drawn on my observations of glossolalia in practise. There are many ways that the practise of glossolalia can be seen to be not adhering to scripture and that cannot be right if it is The Holy Spirit is at work. Neither is it of The Holy Spirit if glossolalia is something that someone is encouraged "to do" or made to think they should be speaking glossolalia. The Holy Spirit sovereignly distributes gifts for the edification of The Church and those given the gift that we read about in scripture did not need to learn and perfect the use of it. Neither was it falsifiable. If I speak Chinese to you next time I see you, or rather to enable me to preach the gospel to a lost Chinese person, you will know The Holy Spirit has chosen to give me the gift of tongues.

Hello Tobi. The word 'unknown'" has been inserted in some translations but the term "Unknown tongue" does not exist in the original (Greek) scriptures. Bare in mind it isn't even saying that this did happen ! Why would the Holy Spirit get someone to speak in a language that no-one else knew and therefore could not be interpreted? No, 1 Cor 14:1-4 is designed to show that the faculty of speaking intelligibly, and to the edification of the church, is of more value than the power of speaking a foreign language. The reason is, that however valuable may be the endowment in itself, and however important the truth which he may utter, yet it is as if he spoke to God only. No one could understand him. 1 Cor 14 is all about intelligibility in congregational worship. We can't bend it's purpose to that of private worship as reformed continuationists do such as Piper and Grudem. I'm always happy to converse on this widely misunderstood subject. Those who go along with un-truth open themselves up to the influence of an un-Holy Spirit that will deceive them (Matt 7:22-23, 2 Thess 2:11).

Regarding 1 Corinthians 14:17 you admitted that the kind of tongues referred to here is not for edifying others so therefore is for edifying oneself (as stated in verse 4). Verse 2: "For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries." What more "personal prayer language to God" verses do you need? You also confirm that scriptures confirm that when exercising this particular gift of tongues the spirit prays but the mind is unfruitful. You simply raise an objection to this. Plainly such tongues are not for the mind, they are a way for your spirit to to pray directly without your fallible mind getting in the way and as afore-mentioned verse 4 still says you edify yourself as well as things like "speak mysteries". Thus Paul prayed this way but prayed with the mind also. The problem is not that there aren't any verses on the matter, it's people viewing text through different lenses so some see a personal prayer language and others do not. I'd also be careful about what you ascribe to an unholy spirit given Jesus' severe words on that issue. Now maybe you don't agree with my take on it, or anyone else's take on it. That's between you and God, but there is nonetheless debate on the topic that you cannot simply just write off. Unfortunately this is the way of many debates such as the one regarding young/old Earth. It relies on presuppositions on both sides and one side may say "we have the evidence" but we all have the same evidence, we just see it differently. I'm not much of a Greek scholar so feel free to try and wow me with your Greek savvy but Derek Prince taught it at University level.

I have no doubt that that which is practised as tongues in churches today is not what Paul was writing about. Heresy of hetecies! 1. First it is not Scriptural to be directly communicating with God, because the way to the God the Father is only through Jesus Christ. 2. Second: In 1 Corinthians 14 Paul referenced speaking in Spirit in another language. We know from Scriptures that there are many spirits and many gods ( sons of God or Angels) When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he divided mankind, he fixed the borders of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God. Deuteronomy 32:8 He also confused their languages (tongues). This means that each nation could potentially speak and pray to these sons of God. Therefore, it is extremely dangerous to pray in a tongue that no one understands or any listener understands. The gifts of Holy Spirit includes speaking in another language, there is no doubt about it, for the sole purpose to proclaim the gospel if Christ to other people, as it is seen in Acts chapter 2. And they were amazed and astonished, saying, "Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? Acts 2:7‭-‬8 Greek word for a tongue us [glossa]= and this what Paul had used in 1 Cor 14:2 (The word translates as a) A tongue as a member if the body. b) the language or dialect used by a particular people distinct from that of other nations Therefore there are nowhere else in the Scripture that confirmes that speaking in another dialect or language is a direct commication with God, unless you are speaking to another diety and have other spirit different from Holy Spirit. The Scripture further warns that names if other gods shall no be found on the lips: "Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips. Exodus 23:13 Speaking in a mistery tongue could be considered as ab act if worship another diety or god, or angel, or evil spirit. Therefore, stay away from people who are praying or speaking in a tongue that no one understands!!! Period, END OF STORY. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. James 1:26 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27 May the Lord Jesus Christ himself sanctify you through and through and purify you from all evil. Many believers in Jesus Christ believed in vain, listening to this heresy teachings! Here is the signs that will accompany true believer in Christ Jesus: And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 16:17‭-‬18 If anyone using a different language in the church, he should have someone to interprete it, so everyone listening can benefit... In other words - if there is a tongue - there gas to be an interpreter. If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God. 1 Corinthians 14:27‭-‬28 God bless you all.

@@mstance8134 Your answer is in one chapter further: "I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. John 17:20‭-‬21 Once you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of Christ, you will realize that He and the Father in you, and you in them.... The experience is extra ordinary- undescribable with words or emotions. The seal is permanent and forever, and you cannot get yourself "unsealed" - it is impossible to do, and so is continue sinful life. Than 1John 5:18 will hit home: We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. 1 John 5:18 The next words are found in the gospel of Thomas, tgat somewhat explain the effects of sealing of the Holy Spirit: 2) And when he finds, he will be dismayed. (3) And when he is dismayed, he will be astonished.
