1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 review this example is mint with just 50k miles. This 1999 Firebird Trans AM is not a normal Firebird, it is the fully loaded V8 Trans Am with the WS6 package and in pristine condition. It also has SLP performance parts on it like Exhaust and intake.

And the little lights above the window and door lock buttons on both door panels. Also the shifter selection if you're an auto. All that stuff is red at night. It looks so cool with red in the gauges in front of you, red in the doors beside you, and red in the shifter selection right beside you.

Nice vid man. I have a 1999 red firebird trans am WS6 as well. Yup still own it with only 80k miles. Still rides like when I first purchased it in 2000. Definitely a head turner for sure! I do agree with the interior with door panel cracks and seatbelt ring coming off. However, everything about it is amazing and truly one of its kind for sure. I’m glad I bought 20 years ago and still own it. My 6 year old son will enjoy it at some point!! 🥃✌🏼

This was my car I sold a few years ago. I put the wheels; lsfest sticker slp sticker; did the ceta mod on the back (in plastidip) painted the calipers; the wheels are OE Wheels; the car had never sat a day outside until after I sold it; it was stored in a garage its whole life. It has an MGW shifter. I have the original in the garage. The window motors and speakers were replaced.

The 98-02 WS.6 Trans Ams are my favorite cars. They're so raw, I love em. They're design is perfect. I love how the car's style is, "Don't give a shit." I don't care if these cars aren't the fastest, I don't need the fastest. There's cars are so beautifully unique. Cars today are so boring and all look the same. I had a 1996 t-top rans Am and I miss it.

I have an 02 Collector Edition Trans Am WS6 that I picked up 4 years ago with 22,000 miles on it, took me 4 years to find one here in Canada. It's absolutely spotless and never been driven in the rain. I was supposed to sell it as I bought a new 2019 Mustang Bullitt last year but I just can't bring myself to do it. I think even now the 4th Gen Trans Am is one of the best looking cars on the road.

Thanks, I know I am fortunate to be in a position to own two really cool cars but it took a lot of hard work. Arguably the Mustang is superior car in pretty much all categories but there is just something about cruisin' in the T/A with the t-tops open that just can't be replicated. Truth be told I like the T/A better.

@@nbrider7235 I own a 98 ws6 my self and one of the BEST attributes of this car is you don’t see em every time you go for a drive. It’s hard to find them, the big wale tail spoiler In the back with the honeycomb tail lights can never be replaced by any modern muscle car, and the T-tops can’t forget about those. Another signature value of the trans am’s they look so good when their off and when their on. The ram air hood is beautiful and body lines everything pontiac really nailed it with the 98-02 design there’s not much you can do to make it look anymore badass lol!

It’s nice seeing a review video for these cars. A couple of things. Since that’s a 99 WS6 it’s factory HP would have been 320 for WS6, 305 for base TA and Formula. 2001-02 got the WS6 325 and 310 for the base TA and Formula. The change in truck cam and LS6 intake contributed to the HP change. Looks like the previous owner added some tasteful mods in the wheels, exhaust and short throw shifter. Which would explain why there wasn’t much play in neutral. I have the factory Hurst in mine and it’s considerably longer something I mean to change soon. LOL! The 500 watt Monsoon would have been standard on all TA trims 98-02. Not bad for the car during that time. I’ve had 3 of these and they are stupid fun. The looks I get while driving breaks necks.

Nice ws6.. I'm a proud owner of a 94 Pontiac Trans am and a 07 Corvette Z06. My Z06 is stock. But my 94 Pontiac Trans am is heavily modified with 750 rwhp with a D1SC procharger at 15 lbs of boost. The only thing that is stock on my 94 trans am is the body and interior. But the 3 gauge pillars on the driver's side gives the stock appearance away and the Wolfe 6 point roll cage gives the stock appearance away as well. My windows are not tinted so you can easily see the 2 parts of the roll cage in the rear window that run down the back of the 1/4 panel floor boards.. my entire suspension is fully adjustable with BMR suspension components.. I'm running Viking coil overs front and rear. I'm running 17x9.5 in the front p275-40zr17s nittos. And the rear I'm running 17x11. 315-35 17s on nitto drag radials.. my 94 Pontiac Trans am is set up for street strip...way faster than my stock Z06 haha👍🤙

I mainly grew up to the second & third generation of the f-body’s. And I’ve always liked them, especially the IROC-Z of the day. I was 18 when the fourth generation cam out in 1993 and I always thought they looked really sleek for the time. But always liked the looks of the trans am. I miss how cars used to be.. meaning you were totally involved in the driving aspect without all the screens and do da’s today.. imagine all real buttons and two keys and t- tops and pop up lights. When driving was driving 😂♌️
@bradleylovej

And analog gauges! Yeah man, I really like 4th gen F-bodies because they have some good technology in them-LT1, LS1, fuel injection, etc., but they also don't have a lot separating you from the car. The car doesn't really make decisions for you, there's not a lot distracting you. It feels like... a car! And it's fun to drive when you feel connected to the car and to the road

That ain't a Honda son. :) T-56's require a bit more muscle to "wiggle" the stick back and fourth while in neutral. Visibility is actually quite good in those cars compared to some of today's muscle cars, so I'm not sure what you were complaining about there. I've owned several fourth gen F-bodies. I currently own a 2001 Camaro SS with a manual transmission, which is mechanically the same thing as that 99 Trans Am. You pointed out how direct it feels. It feels that way because everything in that car is mechanical. Even the throttle is even cable driven. I also noticed your rowing through the gears super quick. There is no need to do that. It's not an import. You can and should hang out in each gear for quite a bit longer unless your trying to save fuel. Cool car though. It's good to see them in excellent condition like that.

That one must've been babied all of it's life - every Trans-Am I've seen from that era has the exact same vertical crack running down the door panels, the seat bolsters always look like they've absorbed a direct impact from a meteor, the interior as a whole has practically disintegrated, and all the hard plastics have warped in some way.

@@MeynMotorGroup well if the car is stock that's because of AIR EGR and the fact the ram air isn't ram air. It vents to the engine bay not the air box. People usually seal the box to the hood or get a volant cai. Further more the stock exhaust was restrictive and depending on what year it is it may have the crappy LS1 manifold (if stock). My auto was dynoed 295 roughly to the rear. They are gonna rip out the entire top end manifold full intake front pull ram air bigger lid polished ported tb and maf hooker long tubes Gibson mufflers flow master high flow cats under drive pullys throttle body hot water bypass (stock cars hot coolant flows in the T/B to prevent icing) power stop rotors and ceramic pads. Rear seat removal and sparco hsrnesses. So stock I was 360 ish crank I'm hoping to be 450-470 hp 460-480 tq at crank. Again stock it's ok but it's the ls1 once you mod it you can be in 355 challenge 360 challenge stradale category.
