Ok if my husband died in his sleep at 49, I'd want to know how he died. I'm sure some people are in shock, as I've been in situations where I didn't respond sensibly or had a late response. But this Is a little much. Husband, kid, any family I'd want to know. Its very strange Chad didn't request one.

At 49 years of age who would be willing to just accept “natural causes”? It would be normal to want to know why even if just to know if heart attack, aneurism ect. even if AT TIME OF DEATH there was no reason to suspect foul play. Most would want answers.

First off, Ms Daybell was exhumed approximately 2 months after her passing, not five months as the narrator of this commentary stated (1:28). I'm surprised their editing dept did not catch this prior to posting. What surprised me and should raise eyebrows to anyone, especially those in the medical profession is the credentials for the chief coroner for Fremont County Idaho. This is the jurisdiction where Tammy lived. According to police chief Humphries, one of his officers first responded to a call about Tammy’s death on Oct. 19. The officer went to the Daybell home in Salem, examined the body, then called the Fremont County Coroner Brenda Dye. Dye soon arrived at the home as well. It was Dye’s decision to not order an autopsy. Humphries said an autopsy decision would not have been left up the family. “There wasn’t any information or any indication that anything was out of line,” Humphries said. Dye then wrote a death certificate, the details of which have not been released. Now this is the part that should make you cringe a bit. Dye was elected to her position of coroner in November 2018. She has a (high school education and works as an advanced emergency medical technician at Fremont County EMS). THAT'S RIGHT IDAHO THE PERSON SIGNING OFF ON YOUR DEATH CERTS IS NOT A CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN. Now if this Idaho community is fine with this form of government, of electing unqualified people to extremely important positions without possessing a higher level of education, then don't be surprised when the system fails you. Had Dye ordered an autopsy, it would have been conducted by a trained medical examiner/pathologist. Can you imagine how ridiculous it is to entrust someone without any medical credentials to be signing off on death certificates? That is absolutely absurd! YOU have a case of a healthy middle-aged woman who dies in her sleep how can you determine cause of death is natural causes without a proper autopsy? And shame on the detective from the Rexburg Police Department who did not push for an autopsy. Could this be a case of the good ole' boy mentality, outdated death investigation techniques... or laziness? Dye declined to comment on Tammy Daybell’s death or her investigation of it. Either the untimely death of Tammy Daybell will be a lesson learned OR nothing will change and eventually there will be yet another suspicious death.

I think Lori and her brother Alex were just as much in on Tammy's death as was Chad. The gunman who appeared to her a week before was most likely Alex trying to take her out and the gun jammed.
