The songs of Exitmusic are so romantically rich, they could envelop a cavernous hall. Luckily, the band didn't defang that cinematic power and anguish in the intimate confines of the NPR Music offices. Here, Exitmusic plays a beautifully buzzing set, marked by vocal nuance and stirring melodies.
Set List:
"White Noise"
"The Modern Age"
"The Cold"
"Storms"

+Lynda Gerry Me too, I have more fun listening to these Tiny Desk shows than I have had in a very long time. I hardly ever venture out to see live shows anymore, this replaces that longing, to a certain degree.

I've been a fan of her acting work since I first saw her in a Law & Order episode back in the early 2000'Z...I love her in Wrong Turn 2: Dead End, too!!! This iZ the first time I heard her music, though...awesome 🥁

what qualifies you to cast judgement on the veracity of the anguish within this person/these people? in all seriousness i would love to hear a technical review so as to understand why your reaction is what you've typed above.

Well, first of all she seemed physically uncomfortable in her space. Also, the newer songs felt clumsy and at times were rushed; while the older song felt like she was just going through the motions. That first song did nothing for me, I can see why others question the sincerity. Overall, it felt awkward, I'd have to chalk this performance up to a bad day. She is cute as hell though!

she's a horrible singer...and she's trying WAY too hard to pull off the tortured soul bit (and failing miserably). There is a reason really bad teen bands never make it out of the garage.
