We recently bought a JT6 and I realized just how good CrossRC is. If only they had more North American presence. We're now eyeing the Emo X tow truck.

I built one cross RC with a lexan body I am now working on one with a hard body....lots of details to the hard body kit!!! The Emo X is cool 💯

agreed, almost all the new releases are all the same except the body, other then comp stuff. when are the other campiness going to stop releasing the same care with a different body, and call it a new release, instead of just releasing the body. traxxes is the worst at this, slash sucks, and hasn't changed in 15 or so years, and all they do is change the body, and call it new, and charger way more then what its worth. bought one 10 yrs ago, and know its double for the exact same rig.

Loving everything about these new rigs (ok, hate those tires), especially the lack of signals! Perfect scale - big enough to be a definite advantage over 1/10-scale rigs but without the awkwardness of 1/6-scale rigs. Tone of features like 2-speed, locking diffs, etc. This really could shake things up?! Can't wait to see this thing haul ass! 👍

👍😁😎✌️ Nice to see that there’s a different transmission in there. The older ones suck. I kept breaking them in my demon I put the heavy duty one in much better but now I’m breaking axles 🫣🤷‍♂️

What a great, in-depth review. I'm hoping to add a Cross machine to my lineup at some point so seeing their Emo X up-close like this is really helpful.

Cross rc has made these type & hi quality rc crawlers for a few yrs. Seen (& drove) my 1st 1 around 6 years ago. Definitely not for the timid on the $$$ price, but we'll worth the price!

I’ve built two the sg4 and demon vr4c they are both fun builds and surprisingly quite when running. The older transmissions are weak though

Blinkers are dumb. You don't turn your blinker on- on every single turn. It's annoying. Companies need to stop doing that

I have 3 1/8th scale trail rigs and they are really nice. All have similar features to the Cross...Traction Hobby and Yikong. Seem more suited for trails then the 10th scale IMO. Nice overview!

Nice to see almost all brands have adopted maybe even improved what Traxxas pioneered 6 years ago with TRX-4 Defender. Well actually the Summit started it in 2009. Btw I don't care for Traxxas but the TRX-4 is the only model I have and will buy in their line-up.

Have one but was thinking of a Tx and RX chanvhe.. Don't like the fact that nothing can be set on the transmitter..steering end point etc etc. What are your thoughta about this.

traxxas over priced junk, that they never change, and rase the prices. all there cars you have to completely modify to make them work properly. after i had a slash, and had to change everything except the the front, and rear diff housings to make it preform properly. I come from a racing back ground, into crawling, and I see it in there crawler's also. might be just me, but after the slash, and them never changing, gave me a bad taste in my mouth.

@justadsa1051 agreed bud. But the trx4 to me is one of those things where if it isn't broke don't fix it just like a small block chevy motor. Basically the same after all these years for a reason.. it just WORKS! 💪

@letsgetitrc honestly wasn't impressed with it. My appinuon on it. I think the element is a way better car, but I'm particul to associated. Was losi till horizon bought them out, but definitely know what you mean. The 350 is definitely a good comparison to what your saying. Trx4 probably is there best vehicle.

I need to chuck this copperhead ESC Bluetooth garbage! Any good recommendations for a 2500 Holmes hobby motor. Having to many issues with this setup!not connecting no throttle Bluetooth..I hate it!

The castle bluetooth is not good. Your best bet would be a Furitek Python X which I have on the website exocagedrc.com or a Holmes Hobby Crawlmaster Mini V2 or V3
