I live in Florida and they have come here. As a result housing prices have skyrocketed, everything is much more congested than it was, and you can already see their liberal attitudes. They're wearing their stupid masks, even while driving alone or outside where the heat index is already in the 90s and giving people dirty looks if they come closer than 6 feet. I'm hoping the heat and humidity from the summer will send them somewhere else

Unfortunately for the states that are being bombarded by Californians is that they are greatly affecting the real estate markets so that the native people are being driven out or becoming the new homeless. For example, even successful Idahoans cannot compete with big Hollywood dollars. My husband makes good money with the railroad, there’s only us now that the children are grown and we had to leave because of the astronomical prices in renting forget about trying to buy! Bringing in new money to a community can be great but not when these cities are not equipped to deal with such growths.

@@outwestexplorer1966 how funny, I was raised in California and couldn’t wait to get out, but as you get older and more nostalgic, you yearn for those old haunts but my little hometown has been destroyed. It breaks my heart that there’s nothing to return to. We farming northern Californians we’re not overpopulated but had to pay the same heavy tax loads as the south which made more than a few to either sneak across the Oregon border just to be able to afford a licensed car, or to leave altogether but these weren’t six number salaries moving out, they were humble people with humble paychecks in small numbers. Normal working people in any state can’t compete with the dollar signs that are accompanying the influx of people arriving en masse, bottom line and there are more homelessness now then when you and I lived in California.

Make sure you live in the middle of Florida away from the coasts. The property taxes are actually affordable there. My friend has a $400,000 house and pays $2500/year property tax and $3000 homeowners insurance. The coasts are just too expensive.

Some of Hollywoods biggest hits over the years filmed in places outside hollywood. I would love to see more of that. The camp in the original Friday the 13th movie is on the east coast. The house Sabrinas aunts lived in on the show Sabrina the teenage witch (1996-2003) was in NJ. The shire in the original Lord of the rings trilogy is strait up in New Zealand a whole different country. In fact I believe many old scenic shots were filmed outside the USA in classic movies. Just another thing green screen ruined.

I would love to see states like CA loose more and more people. Same for where I live in Illinois. I would leave my state if it wasn't for my children and grandchildren all being here. However, it's states like CA & IL (to name only a few) that have governmental systems in place that in reality don't really serve it's people.
