Kirk founded Exodus. Wrote most of the riffs on the first record, Gary holt's stated that if not for Kirk Hammett he wouldn't be the guitarist he is today, and Exodus the name was even thought up by Hammett. Never would've been an exodus without Kirk "the rippah" Hamster

Of course they will. Like I am right now :D just joking mate, Kirk is an excellent guitarist but in this case... well to me this solo just doesn't suit the song. You have the feeling it has been cut from some 90's Metallica song and pasted here. The song is superb but to me, out would be better with Gary's solo. Just my opinion though.

@@Thirteen31Music I’m a little late but kirks solos being controlled by a drummer who can barely drum and a producer who produced St. Anger is a shame. When kirks soloing wasn’t being controlled by other people, we got soloing like on the And justice for all album. Bob rock comes around for the black album and makes him play the most average solos.

***** I still love Metallica myself and albums like Ride the Lightning and the Black Album (people that shit all over the Black Album purely because it isn't thrash don't know good music when they hear it) still remain some of my all-time favourite albums. But "THE metal band"? Honestly, I think that title is much more deserving of Iron Maiden or Judas Priest. They are two of the most influential heavy metal bands of all time, and the NWOBHM sound of Maiden even influenced Metallica later in their career, too.

I'm so happy for this Hammett collaboration. Also it is great Steve is back, this is Exodus I got introduced way back before. I have that feeling like when Tempo album was released. I must say that I really really liked Dukes, perfect choice for Exodus, and I hope they could change Dukes and Zetro every couple of years. Dukes has so powerful voice and Zetro has this reptile sound. Both so great, I could not make my mind hwo is better, but this is like a long lost family member is back.

Dukes did an admirable job, but THIS is the real Exodus. Zetro is one of the most unique vocalists in thrash...fucking badass. Hammett's solo is pretty amazing too...I expected Holt to make him sound like an amateur, but he stepped up. Hasn't played with such abandon in a long time. You can tell he's been wanting to cut loose. Love the production too. Gibson's bass sounds monstrous.

Each of the songs on the whole album beats Slayer's last one by far. Listen to the song dynamics and riffing, nothing you can find on "Repentless". Concerning thrash metal, Gary Holt is the man.

It might be a far shot to ask this question, but why is it that in the Metal community, Kirk Hammett gets slandered for using the wah pedal in almost every single solo he has, but when we speak of Gary Holt (who's beginning came from Kirk Hammett) where he uses wah pedal in every song much like Kirk, which he also has stated that he holds his pick and solos much the same as Kirk because it's how Kirk showed him to, he doesn't get the same kind of slander? I am not bashing on either artist, because I love both Metallica and Exodus, it's just that I can't comprehend the hatred since I have the open mind to love all forms of Thrash Metal (and beyond depending on the band and genre).

Zetro is better. No doubt. He is thrash metal. Rob is ok, but lacks the Exodus style. Perhaps he is good for a hardcore band.

Nicolas Humphreys I would say that is a little harsh. I love thrash, I'm 31 years old now and Dukes vocals are a big part of what got me into Exodus (yes I was a late Exodus bloomer). Luckily they are good enough musicians that I will still pick up the new album, I just wish they stuck with Dukes.

psycold Yeah, Dukes is a good singer. I just think that a band like Exodus needs singers like Baloff and Zetro (not as brutal as Rob). I have no problem with powerful voices. I listen Black metal, Death metal, Hardcore, Grindcore, etc. But in my opinion, i prefer Exodus with singers like Zetro.

This sounds a lot like Tempo of the Damned, I prefered The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A and Exhibit B: The Human Condition sound a lot more, sounded heavier, darker, and like real thrashing. I love those albums. Also I prefer Dukes over Zetro.

Zetro's voice kinda sounds like Bobby Blitz's. Dukes had that powerful voice that I loved in his albums with Exodus. But none will beat Baloff's voice.

First, every singer exodus is/was fat. Second Zetro is a joke compared to Rob and Paul, he doesn't have attitude nor a powerfull voice to keep up with the band, Hell even in hatriot his voice didn't fit for christ sake! And finally I agree, this is real shit, couse shit is the only way to qualify this comparing it with the previous 3 albums.

I know Exodus has been around since the old days, but I only discovered them a year or two ago. I liked Rob Dukes's voice - I was bummed to hear they'd canned him. I've been curious what Souza sounds like. It's alright, it's a good fit.

Hunter Vex No, I don't. The Atrocity Exhibition was overly long, bloated, and boring. It had some good songs on it ("Bedlam 1-2-3," "Funeral Hymn," and "Iconoclasm" which is one of Exodus' best songs, I shan't deny), but overall, it was an exercise in tedium, in my opinion.

Yeah, Bonded By Blood is a metal classic in every respect. My most favorite Exodus album is Tempo of the Damned. If I had to make a top 5 list of my favorite Exodus albums, it would go as follows: 1) Tempo of the Damned 2) Exhibit B: The Human Condition 3) Shovel-Headed Kill Machine 4) Bonded By Blood 5) Impact is Imminent

PLEASE bring Dukes back. His violent voice just... kicks so much ass. Exhibit A and B only lose to Bonded By Blood, those two albuns kick so much ass. Zetro is OK, but I prefer Dukes. And I just loved those heavy, long songs with insane riffs, like Funeral Hymn, Ballad Of Leonard And Charles or Children Of A Worthless God!
