Points to Gary for wanting to open sealed games because he's not worried about them losing money value. Games should be played, otherwise they have no purpose.

could use a backup copy of the media, legally because he has the sealed box version, also after all this time stuck is a sealed box, the disk/tape may not probably not going to work,also and ruined a seal box for nothing? :-)

Very nice! I'm glad that someone actually has X68000 non-game software on display, as you'd get the impression from most KZfaqrs that it only had games for it, but that was a quite an expensive system to *just* play games on.

Dungeon Master, originally for the ST, did for Atari ST sales what Space Invaders did for the 2600 :) The fact the Amiga version needed a very expensive memory expansion to 1mb in 1987 made it the ST's best selling game of all time.
@madcommodore
@madcommodore 5 жыл бұрын
Yup, so many people have forgotten about the agonising wait for details of the Amiga conversion until the magazines dropped the final bombshell, that the Amiga version could not be made to fit in 512k as the Atari ST which meant all but Atari 260ST purchasers could play it. There was a real sense of anger and general feeling of uproar amongst Europeans as their shiny new £600 Kickstart 1.2 PAL A500 now needed a £150 A501 expansion too! Ahh the joys of weekly computer magazines and working in a quiet newsagent as a kid.

Sadly it got no mention, but at 6:48 I spotted an Atari PC3 incl. what looks like a fitting PCM124 monitor. A nice early DOS machine from when Atari entered the IBM compatible PC market. You should check or remove the battery since it's hanging above the mainboard and might leak onto it if any acid eats through the plastic that houses the battery.

SC-3000 is my first computer, I still have it and as far as I know it still works. I live in Finland and it's the only SC-3000 I have ever seen in person, in Finland or otherwise. I got it from my cousin somewhere around 88' - 90', can't remember exactly. I have no idea where he got it originally. As computers go it's really primitive - maybe around Commodore Vic-20 performance and with a horrible rubber keyboard to ice the cake. So, in simple terms, it's a piece of ye ol' shiete but as it was my first experience with video games it still felt special.
