"Expand Your God Concept." A talk given by Eric Butterworth. Date unknown but probably late 1980s or early 1990s. Previously released by Unity on audio cassette. All rights reserved.
Eric Butterworth (1916-2003), considered one of the great Unity writers, was the author of hundreds of essays, articles, and numerous best-selling books including Spiritual Economics, Discover the Power Within You, and The Universe is Calling. He was a Unity minister in New York City and conducted services at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center for more than 35 years. For over 50 years he was a brilliant teacher of “practical Christianity”.

Thank you so very much. This concisely sums up his teachings of over 50 years. Did he have a doctorate degree? There's not a whole lot on the web about him personally. I did contact Unity a few years ago and they were kind enough to make photocopies of his articles that he wrote in various magazines over many, many years. It was a nice addition to these videos. No, he didn’t have an earned doctorate as far as I am aware and he didn’t like the fact that too many New Thought ministers had honorary doctorates of dubious academic standing. That being said, he was very learned in Truth teachings. I’m so glad you like him, as I do. God bless you!

I worship the Creator In several ways. Partly through my own quiet prayers as I walk outside at night under the canopy of stars pondering the Majesty of the creative force behind them. Partly through some religious ceremonies, I participate in with my Lakota friends. And partly through a local Episcopal Church. After some years of reading much of EB's writings and listening to many of his lectures, some of which you made available Ian, I find myself collecting some of his positive affirmations, and making some of my own, want to which I shared in Sunday school the other day, and I think it made a difference to some people there.... " Everything falls smoothly into place, in the flow of God's grace."
