I share with you a small concept that I use a lot, as well as a little guitar phrase based on it.

Great that you're doing tutorials now. You have a wealth of stuff to teach. Also love that this is very short and to the point. I'll definitely try this flattened pentatonic out in some riffs.🤘🤘🤘

It’s a CRIME that you aren’t more popular. Legitimately one of the best guitarists I’ve ever seen. Someday, you will be known as one of the greats, along with Steve Vai and John Petrucci. I’m just glad I get to witness it happen. Keep doing what you’re doing man, I love you

Sorry if this is the first time you've seen someone with incredible talent and bad marketing skills, but Alain isn't Steve Vai or John Petrucci. They didn't get famous just for talent that's all i'm saying.

@@cameronmason4452 He's not just good though, he learned the biggest shred collab in the world (2019) in just 4 days by ear. That is some top tier shit, not everyone can just do that, even if they can play as good as him technically. And you can tell when he covers John Petrucci, he's not just playing it right, he's playing it with soul and emotion. Not everyone knows how to do that. I stand by what I said

Big fan of Alain here. My wife and I listen to your guitar solos on the daily. It's a dream of mine to play the guitar somewhat remotely close to your skill level. Happy to see a tutorial today. Keep it coming and keep sharing your amazing talent. All the best!

what can you play this over? does flattening the root effect the chords it fits with or is it the same?
@BDagys
@BDagys 3 жыл бұрын
You could play over typical minor chords, as the goal is to introduce tension with the major 7. Then resolve back to the root to finish.
@Eddieshred
@Eddieshred 3 жыл бұрын
You are right, it should be used precautious because it doesn't work 'by default' on basic songs in Aminor/Cmajor as the familiar A minor pentatonic scale does. Like Brendan said it works over typical minor chords (A minor) or over dominant chords (E7 in this case). Very jazzy indeed.
