I lived in AU for 10 years as a local and found it to be more financially advantages, but there were others in my office who were there as expats.

How do you get taxed?

We get taxed as Americans as if we were working in the USA. Our company covered the local taxes in Argentina. The company doesn't want foreign taxes to be a reason people don't seek international jobs.
