It's really the same thing when he was in his mid twenties and thirties he had no desire to be with a 66 year old woman. Most of them want nothing to do with an old man, his money yes, a baby yes - but for love no.

I can really relate to Goldfingers story------I was 66 and the site I joined was Asian Dating which wasn't Filipina centric----set my parameters at Filipina, 35 to 45. and got replies from Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai & Filipinas between 17 and 75. Of course there were scammers and great sob stories but I soon trimmed the herd from the 400s to 10 and then to 3. One thing I will point out to Goldfinger is that as far as I know all of these sites have a contract renewal box which is automatically ticked when you sign up---you have to untick it or you will get an auto renewal and charged for another period. No matter what people tell you including the all knowing vloggers, do not be frightened of separated women----many of them are long term separated and cannot afford to go through the annulment process which is not expensive to a foreigner unless he is a cheapskate. My final decision came down to a 37 year old separated woman with no children and while we were going though the annulment process we had plenty of time (3years) to get to know each other------now been married for 3 years and couldnt be happier---good luck Goldfinger

"Mexico is hot and humid", I live in Michoacan Mexico now and its 65 degrees f. during the day and freezing my ass off after being in Puerto Vallarta. Mexico is a huge country with diverse climates; keep in mind there are places that have snow if you don't want to live at a beach.

I love the attitude Goldfinger, you will do well. I used FilipinoCupid as well and met a wonderful woman perfect for me. After going thru a similar process to get to the 'right' girl, we spent 5 months exclusively video chatting and getting to know each other. I met her family on video etc. In December I traveled to Cebu and met her in person. We immediately knew that our online feelings were real and spent almost 3 weeks together. I'm now retired and moving to the Philippines to be together with her. Like you, I went through a lot of 'scammers' etc. They were easy to spot and avoid. I set some rules for myself...like I'm sending NO money to anyone who asks for money for any reason!

I am 72yo as is my Filipina wife Emily, who was moved to the states by her father Joseph along with her mom and four brothers when she was 10yo. We have (mayroon kaming tatlong anak), three kids all grown now. We both retired at 70, having sold our real-estate company in Lakewood Washington. We have traveled to 86 countries, NONE better than the culture in the Philippines. Everything said in this video is true. Also, I am a scuba diver and underwater photographer on youtube, while my wife makes Filipino food on her youtube channel, plus Zumba.

Has no problem giving money hand over fist to girls who are probably scamming him because his little head thinks there’s a chance for some boom boom, but a hospital in Thailand saves his life and he physically assaulted a worker there to get away without paying anything… quality dude.

Great interview! The most scariest thing I experienced about the motorcycle and trike in the Philippines is the lack of any lights or reflectors . A large percentage of those vehicles are accidents waiting to happen. Some drive without even headlights. It’s like they have a death wish

Paul: this was fun to watch. Goldfinger sounds like the kind of guy who I could bounce comical observations off of back and forth all day long. I like the way he described going around for adventure anyway if the date didn't show up, and how quickly he could get another date if needed. He said he watched a few vloggers before coming to the Philippines but apparently he really didn't pay attention to them very closely when it came to giving money to someone you haven't met in person before. But oh well his loss.

It’s entertaining listening to Goldfinger describe the dating scene in Duma. You can hear the newbie excitement in his voice. We need more updates from Goldfinger and his adventures. You two are a riot.

General Santos City is where the famous boxer Manny Pacquiao is from. It has 2 malls, a nice decent airport and the GreenLeaf hotel is nice located in the city center. It is also the Tuna Capital of the Philippines. It is in the island of Mindanao. Its approx 2.5 hrs by air con bus to Davao City.
