Up until about a week ago I was getting OK freight rates. That is until I crashed my van. I got that insurance check today, now I must scramble to find another vehicle.

What is expediting? Why don't these companies hire larger trucks? Are expeditors in smaller cargo vans faster than bigger semi-trucks? I have never seen this job before and am very curious.

Yes were faster and yes we can drive non stop vs a big truck that has HOS to deal with and other dot compliance. There's no point of a big truck in expediting. Totally different ball game. A van can clear twice the mileage vs a big truck.

10 yrs ago I opened a company and wanted to try it out. Now 10 yrs later were still here and to this day I still enjoy driving. Gotta like what youre doing otherwise why do it?!

I’m thinking of purchasing my own van and driving for a company but I been doing my research and most of the drivers out there are averaging 3000 miles a week that’s 12,000 in a month x 12 = 144,000 a year what is the life expectancy if well maintained on a sprinter 2024 n or a Dodge pro master ? Are you hiring under your numbers? I have a class A cdl with all endorsements, but I don’t want to drive a semi right now. I can get a van, and even a straight box truck.
