I REALLY like your setup for your bed Andrei 👍🏽 a few weeks ago I helped install partition bulkhead doors in his 2020 Mercedes Benz Sprinter Cargo Van for a friend of mine who’s father-in-law is from Kyiv, Ukraine 🇺🇦 and he does OTR Expediting too .. he doesn’t have insulation or carbon fiber pieces for his walls like you do so I just might be showing him your video so he’ll get them insulated

Just insulate it and cover with thin pieces of plywood and hell he all set. I like open concept vs building a sleeper and divider. Too much taking apart if freight is bigger vs just lifting the bed. But that's just my opinion. Quick and easy.

Nice bed! I like the diesel heater too, but I've seen some vanlife type build videos where they mount the heater under the pax seat. It seems something like that would be more space-efficient.

I like to use that under the seat space for storage. And the tap hose to the fuel tank is on the left / driver side too. I did it the easiest way without dragging things over all the way to the right side.

Hello Andre, I see sprinter vans that have the foldable box holders for Amazon trucks. I am looking at purchasing one, as long as it has the space for the cargo load. You do a great job with the video uploads. Be safe out there!

My van had shelving I threw it out. I suggest throwing it out. Less rattle, plus you need all the space you cna get to walk around and around the freight. Also can't insulate the van with having things in the way. It's just not worth it.

I was kind of interested in this till I saw that video where you were talking about $.85 a mile that’s crazy I make $.71 a mile and I don’t pay for anything or own anything as a trucker

Roof vent / fan and insulated van. You can be comfy without ac up until 85 degrees with just a roof vent if your van is well insulated, insulation plays a huge roll in summer as well as winter.

Unless you don't plan to insulate it then 5kw works great for an open sheet metal van.

Where do you hook up for power, it's a diesel heater but you still need power for the little pump, it doesn't drain your battery?

To the main battery. It can run for 24 hrs straight without draining my battery.

@@Eagle-Xpress How did you tap into the diesel tank? did your van come with an auxiliary fuel line connection or did you have to drop your tank to tap into it, I just bought a 2023 Sprinter and I want to install a diesel heater

What do you do when you have 3 pallets? Where do you sleep? I know 3 pallet loads are a small percent of loads but I’m just curious

Pull my mattress down and sleep on the floor where there's room for the 4th pallet or I just simply put my mattress on top of the freight and sleep on the freight.

If your bed was across the front, instead of down the side , could you still get 3 pallets in the van , with the bed down ?

Heater was 150 bucks on Amazon. Sleeper just the cost of materials. One sheet of plywood and some 2x4rs. I don't have ac just a roof vent.

If they are under 10k gvw sure. But if it's over 10k gvw then no as it will require an e log book to operate.

No. I don't microwave anything or have a fridge. I have one on the shelf but never had the need to install it yet.

Van is insulated. Have a roof fan that keeps cool up until 85 degrees... If it's past that then regular vehicle ac gets turned on and it stays cool inside. Trick is to insulate the whole van really good.

Who has time to sleep in expediting? Most of the time we run direct. I've also slept on top of the freight many times before. Easy!
