In this episode we travel along the stunning and remote Bartang Valley in Tajikistan on our off road motorcycles as we continue travelling East towards Siberia

Safe traveling and you guys did really good to take the extra parts with you just incase something happens.. You will be stuck hundreds of miles from home.. so Good Job..

The road honestly looks in pretty decent shape when you consider its isolation. Way better than the roads I've taken in Peru and Bolivia.

I am sure that I watched this yesterday? Great vid. Upsetting for me though. I was due to go on a 3 month SOLO tour to Central Asia in May from London. Even bought a Tenere 700 for the trip. Sadly cancelled now due to virus.

Thanks so much for this fantastic moment shared with us. where did you buy your fuel pump ? i am interested in any advice from you to prepare the bike (Im ridingon F800GSA)/on the trip itself as I am planning to go to central asia next year. thanks a lot in advance. which tires do you recommend? If you're planning to ride F800 across countries and still haven't got a fix on tire setup or spare parts perhaps might consider doing a short trips first.

stephane brion Hi! Thanks for the compliments! I purchased two fuel pumps (one for each bike) at a UK bmw spares shop called Motorworks. I tried to take duplicates of parts if possible. Heavy items like clutch and generator we only took one. The Mitas EO7 are an excellent long lasting tire that can do both road and off-road. It may be worth swapping to something like the EO9 or similar when your reach Central Asia if you will be spending a bit of time riding the big off-road trails. There are tire dealers in Almaty, Bishkek and Osh

Awesome guys! When I came through the valley in 2018 the police station wasn't even there yet or I missed it :D you know where exactly it was? But one constant I guess is that dude who collects the fee for driving through the nature reserve.

Maxi Touring perhaps there is 2 slightly different ways in. We were actually there in the first two weeks of a June after checking! We must have been so close to each other!

when did you ride in Bartang? I could not pass due to high water level. It wass in June. Water level was almost 2 meters above road

Oscar Ibañez it is important to train a little and practice in safety but then you will be able to do it. We practiced off road riding at home first 😁

do not listen to the muppets !! i have a 2003 bmw f650gs and when on tour i carry a spare fuel pump £40.00 a spare water pump £25 and a made up new chain , all of this takes no space at all and front and rear wheel bearings . can you imagine breaking down on top of a mountain or in a desert and asking the guy in the village can you get me this part. i prefer to carry spares for the bike than a hair dryer or a pair of spare boots for walking around ha ha

Come on guys, you can afford Lone Rider tent, decent camera, drone, but can`t afford Go Pro with video stabilization?

Hi Raimundas. Actually yes that was the case. In late 2017 go pros with stabilization were very expensive and would have cost over 700gbp for 2 before memory cards and extra batteries. We already owned the drift cameras and we already had the lone rider tent for a year before trip as it was from the first batch they sold and they were at an introductory price of 300gbp. We also already had the drone well before our trip. Trips cost a lot of money so we had to make cutbacks somewhere 😁
