Great experimentings. people are convinced that you need certain products because they are failing at this but you don't .It's all about the technique and the thickness of the paints

LOL! I watched that with bated breath hoping it would work and I wasn’t just fluking it! 😍🤣 My recipe is: PM: owetrol floetrol, jo Sonja varnish and gac 800 (but it looks like the owetrol is fine on its own) CA: Aussie flood and Amsterdam t white PILLOW: I’ve used everything but owetrol and white works just as well as anything (it’s all about consistency) Thanks for mentions hun! I’m not on you tube but do have an IG page if anyone is interested in seeing my results using this mix - DINODAISY Cheers, Kate xxx

Thank you Kate! I ordered some owetrol after watching this too, from the states though, so hope it's the same?! Go figure, I just bought four gallons of the HGTV untinted because they were going to discontinue it! 🤣😂

Lynette Frohning I’ve got the same owetrol floetrol (eu) that Erica used in this video. I only tested it because I’d run out of regular pm and had two bottles of it sitting here. The only two things I’ve found essential (in my paint testing) is the Aussie flood with a really heavy t white and the jo Sonja varnish. Others have probably found alternatives or ways around this (eg Erica’s t white and water) but this is what works for me. As others have mentioned, there really isn’t one recipe that is perfect for everyone - technique, paint consistency, room temp and humidity all have a role to play.

Thanks Kate! I have all the ingredients for almost every recipe 😂 it's so much fun seeing what kind of results you get!

Hi Erica, I love your work and you are very likeable and relatable! I did fine Art, so abstract wasn't something I was ever interested in, but during this pandemic, your work has inspired me to try things out of my comfort zone. I hope you and your family are well? Btw, I am OCD with mess and germs (so this pandemic has really tested me!) But when I do my pours, I cannot help but make a mess!!! I have to wait until my daughter goes to bed as we all get covered, lol. Soooo, many learning curves through trial and error, any tips for British puddles and pouring recipes very welcome and appreciated!!.Keep doing your thing and I am happy to be along for the journey! Thanks and take care,, Jo xxx

I love the bloom technique and all, but am happy that you are going to be going back and doing other things as well. It seems that everyone is doing this bloom thing and it's getting quite boring to watch day after day, artist to artist. I LOVE your art and I normally just quietly watch your videos. You have taught me a lot and look forward to your other techniques and videos :D much luv from Alberta Canada

Hi gorgeous...thankyou for your loving dedication & sharing 💖 Just thought I'd add something as I have been using floetrol for years (Am in Australia) & no cells as I don't really like them (do love your blooms though xx) Another friend loves cells and she doesn't use floetrol at all! Thanks so much for the experiments. I have been hoping for some time that someone would come up with a combination that we in the UK can use to do the bloom technique. Tidy work space? What is this? My garage looks like Michael's painting section exploded out there. Lol I love your work and your experimenting on camera for us! It's always nice to watch someone else's process, as well as the bloopers rather than always when it goes right. For those starting out, it can get disheartening and intimidating if they only see videos where everything goes right. Thanks for being so open and REAL!

Hi Erica, so loved this video! You put so much out there to all of us! I'm grateful for sure! They came out awesome! Gorgeous colors! I've spent a small fortune on product and have had little success. So this video put some hope back into my pours (pun pores...ha) I see the bottle looks the same as the Owatrol I can purchase in the States. Ordered it from Amazon as I watched your video! LOL Today I noticed they are right here in Florida just about 20 minutes away! I do hope it IS the same product as yours. Do you know? On another note, the house paint seems to crack on me. I've used GAC 800 & it still cracks. 😣 I believe I have mixed everyone's recipes and continue to fail at this technique. I pay close attention to my consistencies & feel strongly they are right. Alas, I MUST be doing something wrong. Can't believe I can be so bad at this. 😭 But, I will keep trying until I get it right. Thank you again for your hard work and all of your experimenting! 😍😂🥰🐇💗

Hi Erica, absolutely love love love your work!! I just tried my fist attempt on the bloom technique and quite liked it but my pillow seemed too thick, my paint was swimming on top and when tilting it was runnier than the pillow. Thank you Erica for the great Tip about Owatrol Floetrol. I live in the Netherlands so the Australian is hard to get. I did a piece with Owatrol in the cell activator but it didn't work out. After your video I tried Owatrol in the paint and oly water in the cell activator and it worked!! I used Amsterdam white and black for the cell activator and I think the black worked better than the white. Friday I get my Australian Flood Flotrol (yeahhh). I'm very very curious. Dear Dutch painters, you can now order it again via Amazon.nl!!
