In today's interview I am very pleased to be joined by Dr Sandeep Gupta, one of the leading authorities on Mold/Biotoxin Illness & Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome.
Dr Gupta covers a LOT of ground in this discussion, ranging from the basics of CIRS, the prevalence, how to identify it through symptoms, testing, and underlying risk factors. He discusses the efficacy of conventional and natural treatment methods, and also touches on mitochondrial/energy-based medicinal interventions.
You can find him here: www.lotusholisticmedicine.com...
He is the creator of an excellent educational course on this topic geared up towards both patients and practitioners called "Mold Illness Made Simple". I moved out of a mouldy rental post 2021 flooding Brisbane Australia, thanks to his podcasts giving me knowledge = power. We didn't get charged a break lease fee because mould tests proved it was uninhabitable. We were all very ill at the time with landlords refusing to remediate. Lost 90% of possessions. Mouldy rentals are no joke.

Making my way through this discussion. I was exposed to mold years ago and it really messed me up. I've never been the same since. I don't have alot many CIRS symptoms though. I've improved alot on and off carnivore the last 6 months but not quite fully. I remember learning about CIRS and found a shoemaker protocol practitioner in Calgary, Alberta and they told me it would cost $15,000 CAD just to run the tests, let alone the treatments. It was such a let down. How the heck is a normal person supposed to afford something like that? Meanwhile I get gouged on my taxes yearly for garbage socialized health care that can't really help you at all.

Exactly the effin 'health care' we must pay into that I can't even use bc first the deductibles are too high and second the care is a pill instead of THE cure. If I followed the doctors orders I'd be taking 10 medications a day and suffering the side effects, and still not be cured. Absolutely useless. Plus I'm paying for this $hit an arm and a leg. Thanks friggen Obummer for your scam socialized medicine power grab. Effin jackas$ politician.

Canadian health care period is absolutely laughable. You literally have to know whats wrong with yourself and ask for the tests doctors should be figuring out. Or.. they will never find out whats wrong 90% of the time.

It's very similar in the U. S. Insurance will not cover the kind of testing and treatment you need and allopathic doctors, for whom there is a long wait, give you short shrift and lack the knowledge, time, and persistence to help you. It's just easier for THEM to blame the patient and the current healthcare model is all about THEM and not about the patient. As such, care of health is apparently no longer the goal/objective. Time to abandon this system for something else that WORKS because it currently does not.

We definitely are and my experience w physicians is they are more ignorant than ever. They are also more expensive than ever. They have also taught each other HOW to dismiss patients, bully patients, not answer questions from patients, and discredit patients in their medical notes where, usually, patients never see. Its to cover their azz and appear "credible" when the notes are ordered by other doctors once the abused and disgruntled patient who has not given up hope yet, finally moves on. If you think about it, the medical industry has become the new model of slavery.

I was just diagnosed with CIRS a week and a half ago and starting a protocol. It’s been twenty years since the symptoms started and nearly 9 years of actively searching. I’m also a nurse. We’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars and seen at least 15 different practitioners with over thirty symptoms. I finally found one who specializes in autoimmunity and ran tests I’d never heard of which indicate CIRS. I’m hopeful for recovery. Thank you for this interview.

you know in most states, you can pay to have it cleaned up yourself, then apply that to a rent reduction legally. Only thing keeping Americans in those situation is their own ignorance of the law. Typically you notify the landlord in writing, they have X number of days to take care of it, usually 1 to 3 months somewhere, depending on the state/city, then if they don't do it you pay to have it done and don't pay rent until the amount you paid for the resolution is satisfied. Works for a whole lot of different things involved in the renting world.

The seriousness of Weather control here in America is most definitely a very high concern. I spent 5 years dealing with a flooding basement because it was raining 5-7 inches in a day and it was not natural. I would take my dog out in the morning and I would know if I seen Chemtrails than I was going to have rain coming again. Will the US government be held responsible for trying to drown people out of their homes? O I sure pray and hope for this to come soon.

The missing link for many people here I believe is childhood trauma. There are basically tests that show people who feel very loved are more resistant to pathogens, people who feel deep shame are highly susceptible.

It can certainly affect the body's ability to detoxify itself and heal, but it's definitely not the rule. I've known quite a few people who had terrible trauma in childhood with normal health who could run circles around most people which I've also found remarkable because I would have assumed the same in these cases.

Really? Just like the news telling us we are living longer than ever before…right! Lol…that’s a big crock of brown stuff…look at the obituaries from 50 years ago compared to todays obituaries and tell me that’s true! U can’t! Just like every winter and summer is the hottest or coldest on record…it’s bs….and there is some truth behind this theory of upbringing….narcissism wasn’t as rampant as it is today…I’ve been single for 15 years and can say there’s an epidemic of narcissism! The amount of people who believe they’re entitled to special treatment at the cost of someone else’s wellbeing is mind blowing! I have zero tolerance for these creatures at all anymore and have zero outlet to help me protect myself and my assets from these malignant monsters…to the point someone made a copy of the title to my dwelling in hopes he could have me thrown out of the property I own! My saving grace is I’m in a smaller city and the courthouse knows my signature well enough to have flagged the transaction for title transfer…the pos is angry cuz I caught him and is now threatening to burn my home down with me in it! And the cops can’t do anything about any of it…go figure!

He’s struggling to get to school. I’m still have difficulty functioning at prior levels. 4 years of exposure and so many scary symptoms and trips to the ER but no recourse for the long term injuries we sustain. When you are completely brain fogged over it’s hard to know what to do to gather evidence for a legal case and even then the courts side with builders and landlords. It’s disgusting. Did you get rid of all the porous belongings from the moldy building? Even if you’re out of the active mold exposure, you could have brought a ton of mycotoxins with you in your furniture, mattresses, televisions, clothes, etc. If it’s porous and was in the mold environment, toss it. I just tossed a $1,500 drum set because the guy I bought it from had a moldy garage and all the symptoms I’d finally recovered from came back over the course of 2 months. I’m sorry for your losses, it’s a hard and expensive road.

Hello! We are so much better now. I did get rid of all of our clothes, books and furniture. It’s been so expensive with functional medicine having been the only help. Now my son’s school is filing criminal charges against us for truancy. It just doesn’t stop but at least my brain fog has abated and I can find an attorney to help us. My son’s digestive issues have held up his progress until my functional medicine doctor did a stool test and found bacterial overgrowth. That antibiotic helped so much. He is just dealing with fatigue and muscle weakness now. He’s around 90% and I’m close to 100. It’s been 10 months out of exposure. It does get better.

Whaaat, I've been centering on CIRS for some weeks now, and now you Elliot have a video about that! I had a lot of mold at my flat and now remediating it. Once I started taking the activated charcoal I had got a huge boost to my daily functioning. Now I need to make another huge step.

I want to try more of the activated charcoal. I'm terrible with the timing of it, though. How do you time it with other stuff that may be pushing out the toxins, so that it's helping mop them up, but not mopping up other *helpful* stuff...?
@Dimich1993

@@creatuitiveguru Good question! I've been taking only the activated charcoal as a binder for the last 1,5 months. The general recommendation is to take it at least 1,5 hours before and after the food. First I was taking it before and after sleep. Now I'm trying to run everyday to sweat the toxins out, so I'm taking the charcoal before and after running, again waiting 1,5 hours for food. Some other supplements I'm trying now need to be taken with food, so there is no collision.

This interview with Elliot and Dr Gupta is BY FAR the best conversation I have heard on CIRS !! I am so grateful to these two brilliant Doctors, taking time to educate, and explain CIRS in depth. For someone like myself, who is still living with mold exposure, this is invaluable information to have for me personally, and for when I do start working with a Doctor. I have read Dr Neil Nathans book Toxic, and have heard him speak on Podcasts. I have listened to many of Andrew Heymans talks. I have used Realtime Labs, Immunologistdx ,for testing. I do have Marcons in my nasal mucus membranes and was interested in learning more about them. I appreciate you both for addressing the issues and options for people who are unable to move, do not have the money for their healthcare expenses, and what to do with their possessions… Thank you both !!

DIY Ant -Mould Spray 1/2 teaspoon Clove Oil in 1X litre of distilled water after washing w white vinegar is still a highly effective affordable aid for anyone interested . Mould that can’t be removed from silicone in wet areas comes from BEHIND the wall, which is exactly how cemetitious grout/tiles are designed to work.which ALWAYS creates mould behind your wall. Epoxy grout is the gold standard instead of cemetitious grout. I’ve even forgotten all silicone in my shower that I built. This shower has never had cracks or mould. If you can’t replace yr tiles remove all silicone dry out for 4 days with a heater if in a wet zone. Seal all grout x 4 coats then reseal silicone that has anti mould properties.

My estimated guess is 15 to 20 years of this stuff . .. when they actually make people sicker, they are a business to actually suck up big $$$$ from Medicaid and Medicare. And they pass people around to other specialists, and other facilities as to gain more revenue, physical therapy and so much more. Then as the patient gets sicker from all their help, they give them the final dose in the hospital as to make sure they get every last dime . Disgusting

I'm an EDS patient with POTS that presented after a Hep B vaccine that the college I attended was pushing hard on the students in the mid to late 90s. I never went back for the second one because of this. There was damage and filth from possums pissing and crapping up there for months before i could get anyone out. All tradies were busy with the flooding our town and adjacent towns that year, and before this was covid. But there's also a lot of adults undiagnosed, who are getting diagnosed and self diagnosis, and self medicating for adhd which gives all the symptoms in question here. I'm a PHP who deals with the self medicators. These people live in the worst places, and it's highly probable that mould could be the cause of a third of my clients' problems. The treatment was avoidance, quercetin, molybdenum, born and copper and anti histamines. Nothing worked! I have been doing DNRS ( Dynamic Neural Retraining System).I noticed most my symptoms were gone in a few days. For example, my stomach , condtant thirst and urination, allergic rhinitis, difficulty breathing, insomnia, etc were just gone. When I train on triggers like chocolate, metal, dairy etc they stop being triggers very quickly. Before i tried DNRSI was to the point I could leave my room for 3 months straight. I do believe the Limbic System is the culprit. It gets stuck in overdrive even after the initial threat is gone. It keeps overreacting and causes these symptoms that are very dangerous and real. Nothing eill change until the brain in rewired meaning the Limbic System is calmed down .

21:00 This why colonics was the key to healing from mold toxicity. Had lived with it for years till I found a doc in FL and moved there just to heal did IV’s ever weekday for almost two years it was that bad and other also lots of supplementations and I didn’t really start healing until I began to get colonics after each IV no you wouldn’t normally get that many but when I realized the toxins I was paying good money to get rid of were just reabsorbing back into my body I knew I had to get rid of them and colonics did it she also had an infrared sauna which helped too. But getting colonics is the key take all the binders you want and it will help but not like this does. And make sure to drink lots of coconut water and a very good probiotic, I found Bravo to be very helpful. Good luck I know it’s not easy when you’re sick with mold because most people don’t understand it and just think you’re being lazy or a hypochondriac like I was once called. But you’re the only one that knows what’s really going on inside you, listen to that gut instinct (oh and colonics works on your dopamine too so you become happier when you’ve gotten rid of that toxic load, literally)😂 And take care of yourself 🙏🏼🥰❤️✨💯

There are multiple vegetable/fruit sources of cellulose. Celery, for example, is really high in cellulose. Fruit skin is high in cellulose. Cellulose is widely used in clothing: bamboo, cotton, etc, as well as in building: hemp, jute, straw, wood. Very Interesting discussion - I have been following the use of Chlorine dioxide for Mold elimination after Huracan Katrina - there was a report by the EPA Laboratory Evaluation of the Efficacy of Chlorine Dioxide Fumigation for Remediation of Building Materials Contaminated with Molds, Mycotoxins or Allergens It is a puzzling lack of interest in simple products to deal with on going issues - thoughts on this please ?

Two years working in a bldg consumed with multiple toxic molds, plus the onset of menopause I am very ill. I have taken blood Mymycolab and GPL urine mycotoxin tests and GPL OAT Test and shown to be positive for 10 of 12 of the worst mycotoxins. Subsequently I left the job, struggling to recover without any medical help. No insurance and now no income. The expense of care is impossible to afford and there don’t seem to be many doctors that know how to treat, and those that do are just incredibly expensive. Many don’t take insurance even if you have it. There needs to be more help available for this and property owners (landlords etc) need to be held responsible for remediating these issues. So left to my own devices to heal, I appreciate this detailed information so much.

Thank you!! After watching over half of this video I am almost 100% positive this is what has been going on for years with me. But I will seek testing to verify. Just having a possible source of the problem is amazing. I've been trying to research everything I can about all of the different ailments I've been plagued with for years and haven't came up with anything. Then of course the dunce doctors that don't care and don't want to investigate further have left me without any other choice but to give up.

I don't think I have CIRS but I was diagnosed and tested positive for Lyme 10 years ago and still have flare-ups from time to time. I went carnivore a year and a half ago and ended up with eczema all over my upper torso which then became a food intolerance/ histamine issue which I now feel is for the most part under control. The interesting thing is while all that was happening I had about three herxheimer feeling Lyme reactions which made me wonder if it was the old friend creeping up. I call it my friend now because over the years the only time it really bothers me is when I'm starting to run down and I'm going to get sick and it's my alert system to let me know to take care of myself and for the most part I really haven't been sick in about 10 years. Now everything is starting to settle down in part following the b1 protocol but also adding a bunch of natural antihistamines. I have learned the hard way that if you're not healthy going into carnivore, you might want to take time to get your body healthier before doing it...🤷

Activated charcoal…u do a low carb diet, it doesn’t feed the bacteria and parasites and mold that’s living in our bodies but ur breaking down the areas they commonly hide such as calcium build up…low carb high protein automatically ups ur intake of vitamin k2 which helps break down calcium that’s been pooling up in the joints eyes and heart….once these hideouts are taken away those micro organisms free float and can cause havoc in the body…activated charcoal will bind to these organisms and help get them out of ur system….

I have to add that I’d gotten quite well and was living in a moldy apartment during COVID and my issues seemed to reactivate. So I’ve been worse where there were molds and particularly mycotoxins but did not know it. I grew up in a damp moldy house but was an A student and got a full academic college scholarship. So, to show the contrast, as I was being admitted to Dr. Johnson’s clinic I found after the air flight, travel and stress-I was unable to read the day of admission.

Wow!!! This is the first doctor I’ve heard speak that actually connects EMF to mold. I had no evidence of mold in my apartment but ultimately it was found in the HVAC located locked away on the balcony. My son and I suffer with CIRS after living there for 4 years. 23 smart meters were fastened to the outer wall of my bedroom. It’s been a nightmare. My son only started to show these symptoms 4 months ago. Then I figured out after years that my symptoms were environmental with my son’s more recent symptoms. I finally feel like I’ve arrived at a true explanation.

I realized I have had this since I was a child…since middle school. Nothing has working for me. Known exposure since I was a child, skin issues (MCAS, mastocytosis), endometriosis, fatigue, fibromyalgia, joint pain, flushing, brain fog and difficulty concentrating…constant issues almost my whole life. I can’t even touch my own skin without setting off a cascade of itching, burning etc. I was thinking I had parasites (still might) but this is my main issue. I got the blood tests done and my scores are off the charts, and I was positive for 1 of the genetic haplotypes.
