Wisdom Tooth pain can be excruciating and debilitating. In this video, I have explained the cause of this pain and 5 home remedies or tips to to give you some relief from the pain. However, a visit to your dentist is a must to get a proper treatment plan.
What do I use to shoot my videos?
I use a basic ring light which I purchased from Amazon. It helps me shoot in low light conditions and comes with a decent tripod stand Link - amzn.to/2Z7p2mP

For the camera, I just use my OnePlus 6. I use iMovie to edit my videos.

1.keep the area clean 2.use a medicated mouth wash 3.hot saline drinks 4.avoid chewing on that side 5.use an ice pack if theres a swelling out side you are welcome ❤️

@@DoctorUpasana thank you so much for replying, for me I couldn't brush so I tried salt water and it works for some minutes but it's still paining and swelling so can you please tell me something which I can be healed without going to hospital because of covid I can't go. And it's already been a week and I feel like taking it out.😭😭 Can't even open my mouth to eat or talk properly.

If you have swelling and too much pain then it's a must for you to take a course of Antibiotics and painkillers else the problem can aggravate. We are open for both Online and Offline In-Clinic Consultations in case you are looking for further assistance. TC!

first off, Im so glad to have found this video, as i’m currently undergoing excruciating pain right this moment at 12:22 AM. 😢 I actually have a cosmetic sponge in my mouth and it’s such a relief. my remedy has only been a shot of patron every 4-5 hrs or so. (otc meds are not working). My bottom wisdom tooth is growing horizontally and it is HORRIFYING!!! Throw the whole mouth awayyyy😩😩😩 i will begin the saline rinse and other remedies tmrw! thank you so very much and God Bless💕💕💕💕💕

I have been having this Chronic pericoronitis for the last 3 years. Recently i was busy and i did not clean my teeth for 5 consecutive days. The pain came in & its seriously disturbing. It has happened to me before & it stops if you practice good oral hygiene. It takes a bit of time once you start cleaning and irrigating the area with water. Doctor is right, the process is slow but it works. My combination is 2x Ibuprofen per day + salt water rinses multiple times a day. Hopefully it will work again. Fingers crossed. Follow what the doctor said. Good video.

Hello! I am 18 and I think my wisdom teeth started growing in in February this year because before that, i didn't have any sort of toothache or swollen red gums. The pain is so excruciating that it keeps me up at night, I'm unable to do anything and can barely focus on simple tasks. I went to the dentist 2 months ago and he said that my wisdom teeth are growing in but at that time, I could only see white specks but now the crown of the teeth is visible. The pain is so bad that I can't even open my mouth and I'm having difficulty to talk. I have jaw pain and the pain seems to have spread towards the back of my throat (left side only) and I'm having trouble swallowing too. However, thanks for the tips, I'll try these out for sure!

@@DoctorUpasana your tips helped. I gargled with salt water and it eased the pain a bit. Also I took some painkillers that day when the pain was unbearable and the pain subsided a lot the next day but what problem im facing now is that, whenever I'm chewing food, the upper jaw tooth(my wisdom teeth in my upper jaw has completely grown in) is poking my gums resulting in pain whenever I close my pain or chew food and so I have swollen gums again. Im so fed up idk how long will I have to deal with wisdom tooth pain.

Thank you so much doctor for your tips on controlling wisdom tooth pain. Am having aches too but it's not constant. It happens sometimes during the day and often at night. Whenever it aches I eat a very small piece of ice from that side and the pain goes away temporarily. I have no swelling externally, neither bleeding or infections. And I can feel my tooth coming out slowly. So should I visit a dentist for a checkup? Or I can handle it by myself?

Hey! That’s a nice idea that we haven’t tried so far. Thanks for suggesting it. For now it does appear as you are able to take of the trouble yourself. So you can wait out for a bit and choose to visit when the tooth troubles you more. How old are you? Where are you from?

Hi. You can try sleeping on an extra pillow to keep your head elevated for relief in swelling. Also, if advil hasn't helped then I think you require a course of antibiotics and also some potent anti-inflammatory drugs. Please visit a Dentist and get an X Ray done at the earliest. TC!

Hi. It's normal for it to start erupting at your age. So don't panic, it's all normal. Just keep following the tips that I've shared and visit your Dentist if things worsen.

Thanks a lot, Dr. I couldn't sleep due to the pain so I started searching for wisdom teeth pain treatment, and thankfully I landed on this one and I tried 3 of the steps and it's kinda given me relief but after I did the saline solution my gums around my molar teeth started bleeding is it expected or should I be concerned?

Hi!! I'm glad this was helpful to you!! Bleeding might be transient. So don't bother too much unless it doesn't stop bleeding by itself or keeps oozing all the time. In that case, pls apply an ice pack from outside (cheek). Or its even better to visit your Dentist.

😢😢 I've never ever felt physical pain like this in my life, in fact I've heard some women say if they had to choose between child birth and wisdom tooth pain, they'd go with child birth is how you know how bad it is😭😭😭 I am 26 by the way and I think this is the final wisdom tooth to erupt, it's giving me a show😂

Hi. You need to take a course of antibiotics as you have developed a swelling. It's best to visit your Dentist and let them have a look. Don't ignore the swelling, if it increases it can be very difficult to deal with. The doctor may not advise you to extract the tooth as you are just 19. We can wait for a couple of years and wait for it to grow out a bit. Untill then, follow all the tips that I've shared in the video. TC!

Hi there! I got all 4 taken out today and I too am having difficulty swallowing because it hurts. I think this is common. Hopefully we'll feel less pain soon. :)

Hi Sushmita! Thank you for reaching out to me. What you are suffering from is called Operculum or excessive growth of gingival tissue near your wisdom tooth which forms a pocket to entrap food debris and thus give you pain and swelling. A simple at home remedy would be brushing well twice daily, using a good chlorhexidine based mouthwash after every meal and rinsing your mouth with hot water atleast 5 times a day. If this doesn't resolve the issue then you might have to consider a small surgery to get rid of the excess tissue. Hope this helps!

1) Pain will keep recurring unless you great it permanently. There are various ways to treat this pain, but the last resort is extraction. 2) Wisdom teeth are most likely impacted. Meaning, they don't have enought space to grow or errupt in the oral cavity. It's different case to case and the best way to check is by taking X Rays. 3) Yes, you can have cold foods as long as it doesn't hurt you. TC!
