Subspecies don't MEAN inferior Digimon. Subspecies are not worse versions, just alternate in many ways. Appmon do seem to be like an incredibly derived subspecies that went so far that it because something new.

Actually, Appmon takes place in the contemporary year of 2016. There were three instances/points of what year appmon takes place: the date on the laptop in Ep 4 and the New Year Greeting intro in Ep 14 as well Den'emon's age and involvement in the Dartmouth Workshop/Conference with John McCarthy and Marvin Minsky in Ep 16. A lot of people mistake that Appmon takes in the year 2045, due to that year being mentioned every time in 2045 which is the year for the prophesied technological singularity. However, the intro states that " In the coming year of 2045, artificial intelligence will overtake humanity."

I would classify them the same way we classify big cats like the digimon are the older varieties where as appmon are the newer like a digimon is jaguar where as a appmon is a leopard basically the same type of cat just located elsewhere or an even better comparison would be a bobcat and a lynx

Digimon can't easily materialize into our world. They need to use either special gates, take advantage of certain technologies, or somehow utilize a horrendous amount of energy to materialize in our world and even then their materialization is most likely similar to balled lightning. If they don't do any of those they will just end up in our internet. On a different note, the god grade appmon are most certainly beyond megas in scope, importance, and might. Applimon really did a great job at showcasing the capabilities of its appmon.

If you're planning on making a video on the god appmon there's one thing you might need to know, the evolution to get god is highly impossible because the god grade programme is locked behind some kind system key as you can see it in appmon ep 48. In order for the god grade programme to be unlock, bootmon a booting system appmon is needed in order to summon the system key from the sky, fly towards it and insert both of his arms into the key socket and spin his generator arms to unlock to god programme. Whoever locked the programme is still unknown but without the programme unlock, the path of God grade is impossible even if an ultimate appmon fused with a compatible ultimate appmon or the chip is locked and remain dormant until the programme is unlock. The reason behind this restriction might comes from the fact that ultimate grade appmon are extremely powerful on themselves. Globemon was able to do the same thing as omegamon in war game but at a global scale instead of a closed area and globemon blade seems to be able to extend to an unlimited length and almost cut the deep web in half by accident with just one swing. If globemon an ultimate grade has such a power, the god grade's power would be highly restricted

Is an Appmon a Digimon? Short answer is yes. As I understand it, they're basically the same types of programs but with cleaner, more efficient code. That doesn't inherently make them better or worse, stronger or weaker, but probably a lot more stable. It's like meeting humans from a parallel world and they don't have junk DNA and live longer with fewer diseases but they don't have humor or savants

I am happy to not include Appmon in anything Digimon ever again. I am not sure if its just the anime not doing the concept justice but it was honestly just painful to watch. All I need to know is that it's a different server and never mention it again.

I always thought of appmon as being created by a server host as a defense mechanism. Each of them was created in their "god forms" and then divided for easier transportation.
