In the base game he just seems like he hates his own omen nature for no reason other than indoctrination, but in reality he likely just agrees with him mothers ruling regarding the hornsent because of what they did to the shamans, which is his ancestors. In other words, Morgotts love for the Erdtree despite it's oppression of himself is actually based.

Yeah. At this point I was still expecting Godwyn to be the Lord, and that Radahn was only a necessary loss so the stars moving again allows a new God to emerge... NOPE! I'm not sure what all of Miquella's deal with Godwyn was (Golden Epitaph, etc.), but at this point they lost the plot and chose to bang the red daddy more than the blonde hunk!

​@@NWolfsson how are they gonna use godwyn if his soul is gone. The only reason they could use radahn is bc his soul was still intact. Malenia is too important for miquella to be a consort. Miquella wanted to become a god to help his sister which the current age didnt allow which made miquella think of another way. The lore is best suited for radahn and not godwyn. Fromsoft didnt get confused by their own lore. They simply did the only left option.

Just that, well, Miquella was having a hard time after Godwyn's death and made plans around that, and there ARE elements relating to that in the Realm of Shadows (the Death Knights and Godwyn's duplicates in the catacombs), but at some point they (Miquella) shifted gears and focused on the child promise they made with Radahn, which were new infos I didn't have when I reached their boss fight (I did get the whole picture later, but wanted to experience my first run of the DLC organically, only getting whatever lore I get across during my travels)

I mean, Ranni's body is still around even though it was killed by the rune of death, so it's possible Godwyn's soul could be put back in the land of shadows. I'm not saying that Miyazaki decided to make it possible, but definitely could have made it godwyn especially since the base game set up Miquella trying to help godwyn so much

​@Futuristic271 the rune of destined death was fragmented SPECIFICALLY so that it would only kill Ranni's body, Godwyn wad the sacrafice for the soul part of the rune do it would work properly. Godwyn's soul dies but his body still lives, creating the prince of death, while Ranni's body dies, so she can move her soul to a new body, kind of like what Miquella did with Radahn, only she had it done to herself so as to escape the machinations of the two fingers

No, no they are not. They are very, very, very heavily based on Griffith, the worst god damn villain in anime. They use the same ability of "love/ charisma" to force others to their side then use and abuse those people. such as forcing Mohg to get killed and using his corpse for their own purpose. The ends do not justify the means. There are many more points of connection between the characters, Griffith's current kingdom being an example of what Miquella is aiming for, but a comment wont fit them all. Further, saint Trina who is the embodiment of Miquella's ability to love has been discarded. So they are incapable of love, meaning their rule will be nothing more than a dictatorship wherein free will is stripped from everyone. SO also a very very bad ending. They are the worst villain of the entire game, by far, not a good guy. They are a sympathetic child who's foolishness and the role forced upon them causes this evil.

He’s a genius, but sadly, it seems like his mental faculty remains as that of a child. He knows how to cook up a plan and utilise whatever is at his disposal, but because his world view is naive, his end goal is fucked up despite his good intention.

The chosen one (us) is simply a mathematical inevitability and perfect vessel for which hundreds of children's corpses litter a dump site while their restless souls are tormented. We beat the final boss which was in imperfect vessel, free the god (if you unlocked the content) and beat him into submission. We then either contain the disease as a perfect vessel or become some creepy monster. Oh, yeah and the queen kind of didn't like having that many sacrificial children but it sure took her a few hundred dead kids to realise that. Your brother (the imperfect vessel) loves the king but since he isn't hollow of emotions he has to know that he's not only failing but his greatest duty is to be taken down by someone more favoured by the man he loves. That about covers it.

I was on the side of Miquella being the brains of the operations: There are a LOT of items and locations implying or telling straight-on how Miquella is great at convincing people, ruthless, unhappy with his condition of ever-young demigod and able to plan very long-term. Mogh certainly had his issues and isn't a saint by any metric, but the whole Miquella situation was definitely not fully his own plan.

Miquella has litteral mind control tho....
