It's hard to believe these fantastic snowmobiles were only produced for one year, more than 30 years ago. Here's a tribute, with a little bit of talking and a lottle bit of riding--in powder, in the trees, across a creek, and into the night where the wild things are.
This channel is not monetized. If you see ads it's because KZfaq wants you to, not me.

Rider forward 15 years before the first gen REV,way before its time(As snowmobilers average age got older they needed something to ride better through the humps/bumps),next step after the long travel Reva lotion of the 1990s(Thank you FAST inc)😁

Love it! Have three sports - two are long tracked - but all are for sale now that the kids are grown.

Long tracked--that sounds good. Sad to see them go but you should get good money for them.

We have one of the 80cc Suzuki quads like you have. I rode the piss out off that thing and just kept going. I rode it for like 6 or 7 years such a fun machine. I’m 21 now so I got a mud pro 700 last year so a bit of a different machine haha

Thanks. If you’re into bikes and quads you will probably find a lot to enjoy on a sled. Big learning curve though, if you want to get into the real mountains.

I always thought these looked pretty cool back in the late 80’s when they came out. I thought it was interesting when you said you guys were having just as much fun on the snowscoot as the bigger sleds. Funny how in power sports everything seems to have to get more powerful, more complicated, bigger and more expensive. I’ve been wondering if always chasing after more performance we lose sight of the basics and what made the sport fun in the first place?

To me the high-power machines are great because their limits are usually way beyond mine, so I can keep pushing myself. Then when I get back on the simple old sleds I can enjoy being Master of the (local, very tiny) Universe.

@@AkatarawaJapan That’s a really good point. Much like different tools for different jobs, certain machines just work better for certain types of riding than others so one may eventually end up with a quiver full of sleds. Part of me still misses the 80’s when my friends and I rode simple, easy to work on fan cooled short tracks and had just as much fun trying to climb modest hills and ride through 18-24” of fresh snow without getting terribly stuck. No avalanche danger, no huge repair bills from rolling, and no burdensome recovery expedition to extract a broken sled out of a remote area many miles away from the nearest road.

Pretty sire they use a 15" wide track and 2.52 pitch so you can put a regular 121" track in them and make a mountain mod (Or just convert it to a track that's dirt cheap and common)

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a plan. One of mine has got kind of lug extenders bolted on to the track and it makes a big difference, but a 1 or 1.25 inch track would be great.

Aha! They did come to Sweden but they seem to be quite rare. It'd be fun to get one of these, squeeze in a 250 and put a bigger lug track on it. What a machine it'd become.

@@AkatarawaJapan I think a bigger lug track would balance the power increase.
