The exam you are referring to is known as the MSRA- and it's an exam IMGs have been taking for quite some time to enter GP, radiology, pediatric, etc training. Nothing to worry about!

Hi Ibreez, thank you so much for this great content! Had a very small question: In general terms, will a FY2 standalone position for 1 year allow you to get enough experience to get a CREST signed off?
@RoadToUK

Standalones don't need to get a CREST signed. Please also see: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ecWBfdSqnrzXimg.html

What about if you finished residency in your EEA country and have 5-6 years of experience total. Should you still pursue some kind of training positions or just find a specialty doctor role?

So if I understood right, as someone straight out of med school with internship experience only, provided the internship is accepted by GMC and I get full registration after passing PLAB1&2, I can then apply for a non-training job to get my CREST form because my ultimate goal is to get into a training post. Or can I directly enter into a training post in NHS?
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK Жыл бұрын
The first instance is correct in your situation. Without post internship experience, you wouldn't get your CREST signed.

Thank you for this video! I just have one query. I have seen some posts on nhs jobs where the job title is of senior clinical fellow, but the salary is in the range of a SHO (between 33 K to 50 K). Does that mean I can apply for that if I have only internship experience? Or is that a registrat level post?
@RoadToUK
@RoadToUK Жыл бұрын
It may be that salary is based on experience or that they have a variety of roles available. Still apply and see what the job entails.
