A common saying in the town boils down to "the Abyss givith, the Abyss takeith away", and the way they treat death as a whole instills the idea that death is natural and will happen to everyone eventually

At 9:13 when he says "But where all of this really comes together" the images on the screen go from words saying "But where all of this-" before showing a picture of a dog and girl instead of "Comes together". If anyone has watched Fullmetal Alchemist, they'll understand what he meant. Even when analysing another piece of work this channel puts out work that we ourselves can have small moments of analysis, and i really love that. Subscribed.

Funnily enough, the guy who worked on the backgrounds for Ghibli movies like Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away also drew the backgrounds for Made in Abyss. I always felt an odd sense of familiarity when watching the show and admiring the detailed background art, I guess now I know why.

This may be my new favorite anime episode analysis. From watching the first episode I always knew it was very very different than most animes, but I was never able to see each individual section's strategy in engaging the viewer. Just watching this video got me goosebumps from the reflection on how much of a masterpiece this is. Good work.

I did the math, and at -20km (the deepest known point of the abyss, according to the end card, which is 7km deeper than the Mariana trentch) the air pressure is 5x as much as what it is on the surface, which isn’t really enough to cause the “Curse of the Abyss” aka. the “Strains of Ascent”. This means that the curse’s origin isn’t air pressure related, but instead is caused by something else, which I now want to know what it is caused by.

I just hope the abyss itself can actually live up to the hype built up by the excellent first three episodes of world and character building, as the fourth episode was pretty slow and slim on meaningful content, feeling a bit like a filler area in a video game.

Nice eminem reference. Don't overwork yourself to get videos out weekly, that kind of thinking can kill KZfaq channels. Your new so you may be able to handle it for a bit, but please don't push yourself if you can't do it. Congrats on 50k!

Dude, your videos are amazing! It's 3 minutes I and I am enthralled in and so curious that I have to start wathing this anime NOW! You say your overall thesis of the question you pose and lead the viewer on by revealing your analysis bit by bit, which is excellent formatting! But you also aD visual comedy through your editing so the viewer isnt bored I can't wait for the next video!
