i think i only won through stubborness lol enemy just needed a bit more control and managing economy better then would have had no problem.

i would agree that if you took control of his army at the end of this, i would certainly have no chance of winning. the fact that he was sending in small ground forces to take out my arty blob at the end rather than building up some forces to actually counter it was surprising to me. or at the very least nukes. his problem at the end was energy, running so many bombers and tanks cost too much for him to run. the upkeep not only for his army but the total airfields/strips weakened his ability as well. out of curiousity with the endgame, i know my army composition wasnt good, just artys and sam, backed by a small navy, running a couple of strike groups. what would you have done in my position at the end? i choose the arty blob because of the thin path and chokepoints and with the size of the arty blob tanks arent as effective in this situation in my expirence, my main worry were the bombers hence the energy attacks.

@@JonJoeLineWar Arty blob is a low skill strategy. It works decent in all scenarios but doesn't do amazing in any. At minimum you needed 2-3x more sams. You say "his problem at the end was energy". But right before game ended he had 270 energy which was more than enough to launch the bombers and wipe out literally everything you had. Mix in infantry. Arty alone pushes incredibly slowly. Adding infantry in causes the entire army to push faster. Tanks are always better than arty in every circumstance. Add tanks in if you have the extra energy. Though at the end there you won more to because he messed up rather than you doing something good. There is no reason you should have ever been able to make a come back being that far down with him having that much air. Honestly the way he messed up the hardest was building way more air units than he ever had the reasonable expectation to be able to support. He also placed numerous barracks way too close to the front line which we killed for nearly free.

arty blobs are defo an easy way to go and Air is a great counter. defo agree that i needed more sam, Missile ships were my alternative inclusion as well though. at 1 hour 50 mins on the replay itself, he had 130 energy and called in all air units to attack the main blob from the south. his energy spiked to -150 but managed to clear out the majority in the area. i dont think he could sustain the attacks before my artys could do their damage. yeah he messed up a lot which is what gave me the win, if he wasnt so cocky i would likely have given up after losing the first location lol i dont think that tanks are the best in every circumstance, mainly because my tanks at the start were stopped at the start of the game by artys. i would have been taken out sooner if i continued with tanks, whiching to artys allowed me to attempt another push before losing that area. infantry and arty are a great combo to take out tanks without using energy. which is why i had 5 barracks.

@@JonJoeLineWar If you had made exclusively tanks instead of switching to half tanks and half arty it was an easy win. Also... if you hadn't completely messed up the building snipe with the tanks it would have been over at the very beginning. Strike commands are really bad 9 times out of 10. But why you didn't just strike command the buildings with the tanks is beyond me.

@valithor I did strike command the one building at the back but the arty killed the tanks. I have tried keep tanks and everytime I don't switch I lose. My tanks always die to artys spammers. I love tanks in large open land but on thinner land artys sweep through.

thanks, i truely think that many games end early with people quiting before wiping out the enemy so not many expirence having to fight a stuborn player. so thinking they already won the game they may get lazy.
