EXPLORE MALTA! FIRST TIMER'S VLOG - Part Three
Welcome to Part Three of this Malta series. In this one, we leave the beautiful Gozo Island behind and head back to Malta.
Our first stop is at the Mosta Dome where we dive into Malta's challenging circumstances during WW2 and how this ties into the Dome's story. A WW2 underground bunker underscores the suffering as we take a glimpse into how life was like in the war, We continue to sample more of Maltese cuisine and in this episode, we say hello to PASTIZZI - the quintessential snack in every household. The natural beauty of Malta's coastline is once again represented in this episode by the Blue Grotto in the tiny fishing village of Wied iż-Żurrieq. Christmas is one festival which is taken extremely seriously in Malta so we head to Valetta to soak in the atmosphere of the Christmas market at Pjazza Tritoni.

heheheh..I could not believe you explained the true meaning of Pastizz in the Maltese language, all you have to do is take a good look at the shape of the thing..I could not stop laughing. There are plenty of online shops in Australia that sell Maltese pastizzi and even some grocery chains sell them in their shops. Only dif is you have to bake them at home (healthier). Please tell me you visited the co-cathedral of St John in Valletta? If you thought Mosta dome was amazing that cathedral would leave you spellbound. Am truly enjoying this series even with the gloomy grey skies. Well done and thank you. Sahha u Grazzi mate.

Hahahahaha.... I was thinking loooooong and hard whether should I or should I not to include that bit about the pastizzi. In the end, I did... and I am here to see who can I offend with it. Hehehehe... Even my husband went "OH NO YOU DID NOT....".... Anyway, unfortunately as the trip went along we became increasingly exhausted because of jet lag. So we sadly never saw much of Valetta. I briefly touch it for the next episode as we went there for dinner but we got so sleepy as soon as the sun set so we never got much done.

Make that you and me, I too had no idea about Malta's history until I went there and started to do research for my videos. It is a truly beautiful country and you should take time to visit. Although I'm not sure about going there in summer though.
