Hi from Hawaii, Shinichi-san! The yellow-orange flowers are called Lantana. The red flower with the white end is called “Shrimp Plant.”

I'm in Hawaii too and Lantana was a weed to me growing up, as it was very thorny and popped up without being planted.

OMG SHINICHI!!!! You just walked the exact steps I used to walk when I was living in Japan. I even saw a glimpse of my very old and small apartment and where my Grandmother's house used to be. 😭 I stayed there for 2 years. I used the public bath you saw (千代の湯) because my apartment did not have a bath/shower. The public bath was run by a husband and wife. I believe their hours were 2pm to 2am. You would walk in and and pay whoever was on duty, they would be seated in between the male and female dressing/undressing area so they had a full view of both sides. Since I was still in High School (and being brought up in the US) this made me very uncomfortable to have to undress in front of the husband. Since I knew the husband was on duty from 3pm to 11pm and the wife was on duty after 11pm I would try and wait till 11pm to take a bath. 😂 Also the small shop across the street used to sell 駄菓子 (Dagashi-Japanese penny candies) and fireworks during the summer. It was a family run store so they lived in the back. The wife a heavier set woman, Matsubayashi-san, would sit there with the doors open all day and gossip with everyone who passed by so even my grandmother would try to rush by the store and not get caught by the wife or you would be in for a good 30 mins of all the happenings in the neighborhood. In contrast her much smaller husband never said a word. I never heard him speak. Not even a word. 😀 I used to do all my laundry right next to the public bath too....that's where all my undergarments were stollen one time....😒. There used to be a family owned barber shop a few doors up from Matsubayashi-san's store. They also lived in the back of the store. It was a very old school barber shop and only had 2 chairs where the husband cut mostly mens/boys hair. The daughter went to school with my mom but my mom was apparently too weird for her taste so they weren't very close. 😅. The "street" that you like so much, long, long ago before they built on top of it was/is a river. I believe water still runs underneath. The "street" goes all the way near Shinjuku and hits Kanda River. I have done the walk a few times and it takes a good 50 mins. ANYWAY!!! THANK YOU Shinichi for doing this walk and taking me almost exactly to the spot I used to live!! I could not believe my eyes! Of all the places in Japan to walk.... I thank you so very much!

I think we all just like hanging out with you. This was a very charming walk. I loved the little details and the rusty bits. The plants were lovely. One of the things I enjoy is seeing the plastic items like the blue traffic cones and the cool red milk crates used as chairs at the little bars. On one walk you stopped to say hello to a cat. I enjoy that kind of stuff and the architecture. Architecture is like a sculpture you can live inside and I always liked that. Your train videos are wonderful. Who doesn't love a relaxing train video?

I never tire of the wonderful walks with Shinichi World 🌎 it always interesting to see how people live . Nakano is so interesting I'm glad you took the time to share these walks with us. Living in a city has it perks like hospitals as we get older , and needs to be taken into consideration before leaving to go to the quiet rural prefectures. Although you could buy a cute little vacation home in the country and rent it out as a holiday home Shinichi as a option . Thankyou for making my day shine , and may you have a wonderful day to .🤗💛👍

I'm in Hawaii and love watching your videos no matter where you are. I lived in Okinawa as a child and haven't been back since, so I'm always happy when you're there and I can see it again. Going to places around Okinawa other than just Naha would be great. I know it's very different now than when I was there, and I'd love to see as much as possible. The flower you were wondering about at 20:55 is Lantana. Thank you so much for everything you share with us! I really enjoy your videos whether you're traveling or just walking around your own neighborhood! 😊🤗 edit: I was just remembering Gyokusendo Cave that we used to visit often when we had visitors. They made it into a theme park called Okinawa World. I don't know anything about the park, but I know the cave is pretty amazing. Might be a good place to look into. Also, sugarcane is a big part of Okinawa. And if you guys want to be a little more adventurous, the beaches are absolutely beautiful with clear, turquoise water. Would be so fun to see you guys snorkeling! 😁

Maybe it's just so much doom and gloom content out there that your videos have become more of a blessing since before the world shut down but I really do appreciate all the hard work you guys do to bring us these videos. I don't often chat in lives or post comments but I watch every video across all channels. Though i haven't been much to Nakano (only once to Nakano Broadway) it still is familiar and I miss it so much. I would love to see a bit more of the backstreets of Nakano. You are the second person to mention craft beer in Nakano; a friend recommended this place in Nakano to me: クラフト麦酒酒場シトラバ 中野店 with craft beers. Yes I remember the ramen burgers and still like them :) together with the ramen deep fried balls and one that we made often the cheese bruger ramen. One of the things I just love about Tokyo is how green the city is. Compared to the cities I know, even the smaller ones, it's so green with trees and plants!

I really like your videos and I enjoy watching them over and over but you should consider doing a videos some videos that for restaurants sake bars Sushi houses and beer bars that would cater to Americans who are only there for like 7 Days 8 days and you should I think it would be nice if you would consider of putting together one day tours to these places for people who travel to Japan and they only stay like one week two weeks at a time and they really are interested in saying different places but only spending one day or two days instead of taking a two week tour and they go to shrines and all of this stuff but people like myself we would really enjoy seeing the everyday streets like you're doing now but being able to go into a bar not being you should consider that my name is Marion Davis and I'm one of your subscribers and I'm planning to go to Japan here in September or October and I'm considering to try to find abandoned house to fix up so this is why I'm saying and I would be traveling back and forth many times till I get situated thank you

I always think it'd be cool to live in the outskirts of Tokyo, near one of the train stations. Either that, or draw a circle about an hour outside where you live now and check stations along that circle's edge. See if you can find some place a bit more rural but still in or near Tokyo and about an hour to travel to the populous places. I think maybe that long flower is a type of ginger flower?

The way you look in the video and the video thumbnail is you at your most attractive. It seems some softening is still being applied here, but it looks much better than prior vids where it’s so strongly applied that it’s not just distractingly artificial, it’s approaching uncanny valley. I empathize with the pressure and appeal to use a softening filter but you don’t merely not need it, you’re better without it. The rest of us, of any age, would be blessed with your looks.

23:21 maybe a rural area just outside a city if it takes you an hour to get around Tokyo why not some place rural that takes an hour to get to a smaller city. All the conveniences of a big city with less of the crowding in more elbow room

Thank you for a lovely video. Love the sightseeing of streets in Tokyo. Didn't know the story of momotaro.... And that flower you pointed, is actually a south American flower ... Cariaquito....en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lantana
