I need more information. Why was the captain kept as a prisoner? Why and how was he the only one captured? If he was the only one captured, why did it take many days for the crew to show up? If the settlers didn't know why the people changed, why did the captain feel comfortable with possibly infecting the rest of the crew on the ship? If the LT finds the truth that it was genetic alterations, why is he affected? He wasn't a part of the experiment.

One thing to ask: Who does the artwork for your thumbnails? Two things to say: #1, I absolutely love your stories & narration & #2, you should very seriously think about putting out a series of 'short story' books... I will buy them, digital or paper!

Ty 4 the story

Too many loose ends and unanswered questions.

Better than many of the other stories of the series, but still hamstrung by predictability and tired old tropes. WHY would a ship's commander expose his entire team , all at the same time to the unknowns of an unfamiliar environment? WITHOUT reasonable extra - environment gear like protective suits / armor, or even just precautionary breathing gear? The fact that there was ample evidence of strange flora / fauna should have been a "red flag" for any exploration team. There is no mention of an automated atmospheric / environmental sampling and analysis having been made prior to the team's exiting their spacecraft. No narrative or even minor conversation hints at such a basic precaution. In my mind, this makes the story unrealistic beyond being a "space" setting for the typical horror story, more closely resembling explorers on earth setting foot on an unexplored island, still on Earth, where it would be reasonable to assume that the atmosphere is breathable and infested with known terran microorganisms. In the story, the commander carelessly exposes every member of his exploration team to extra - terrestrial hazards, though the narration ignores this completely until the story needs the situation to be "too late". You will recall that during the return of the astronauts from the earlier moon landing missions, the astronauts were kept in quarantine for several weeks "JUST IN CASE" they had been contaminated by an unknown lunar pathogen that might be lethal to human life. Only later, after it had been properly established that no such pathogen existed were the astronauts allowed to present themselves to the general public almost immediately after retrieval. In the sci - fi novel REDLINERS by David Drake, the personnel sent to colonize an unknown world were all equipped with an embedded bio - capsule in their bodies that actively cleansed the human body of any foreign organism automatically, thus rationalizing why the colonists did not need to where environmental protective gear on the new planet. A simple but effective plot device that is absent from this video's story. So, while it is "better" than most of the other "cookie ts of the series, it still has major flaws.

The ending makes no since. The original setters where genetically altered and some mutated into monsters. But he was not genetically altered, why would he mutate?
