This incredible Mansion was once owned by the famous Oritsé Jolomi Matthew Soloman Williams, professionally as Oritsé, is an English singer-songwriter, dancer and record producer. He is best known as the founding member of the boy band JLS, who were runners-up to Alexandra Burke on the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008.

I used to live close to this house when ronnie corbett lived there.Used to see him all the time driving around in his roller,he could hardly see over the steering wheel. I drove past one day & he was standing on a milk crate trying to wash the roof of his roller. He chased a burglar out of there one night.

Ok so I watched this video today, 11/09/2021. After a bit of detective work I found the house on Google maps and went to street view. I'm happy to report that there are signs of a rebuild in progress.

Well you can see which areas of the house recieved the full chav upgrade after the 'Celebrity' took ownership. Ronnie Corbett was a comedy legend ..... sad for his family to see it ruined.

Ronnie’s house, it’s about 5 mins from me. We were saddened when we heard it caught fire. It was a lovely place (Arts and crafts) with some amazing rooms and backed onto a golf course. Ronnie and his wife moved out before he got ill, I’m assuming to avoid inheritance tax for his kids. They moved not too far away. that first room was a small theatre, theres a TV documentary about him showing around the house. I suspect the black bathroom fittings / jacuzzi etc were not Ronnies.

Maybe, Ronnie came back as he wasn't happy with the way the house was..... and used those Fork Handles (four candles) if you want to see the sketch. One of the funniest sketches I have ever seen.

20:17 That's a dinning room with a baronial fireplace & a medievalesque minstrel's gallery up that ladder, that narrow shaft leading off it was presumably an access point with a (now absent) ladder for the musician(s) to use. That small blue roomed toilet with the newspaper cuttings all over the walls was obviously made by Corbett. Interesting & well filmed, thx.

I love listening to the enthusiasm of the bearded explorer of all the places he explores....he has a good vibe & easy listening voice. It's so sad to see all these amazing places with fantastic memories go to waste...I'm a very sentimental person....I think I'm from a different era lol...it's very cool to see all these places....it's like time travel, but not, if you know what I mean X

I went there to deliver a car to Ronnie Corbett back in the day. It was a gorgeous house and Ronnie was a wonderful chap. I was so chuffed to meet him.

I live 5 mins from here. For a while after the fire it was under police guard, I guess because of interest from the press, a lot of people were trying to explore, and because there was suspected arson. The usual rumours of insurance fraud circulated after the fire. There's scaffolding up around it now and builders knocking about. If they're not tearing it down entirely they're likely replacing a lot of the structure and the whole roof. It's a nice enough location - top of a hill, corner plot, backing onto a golf course.

I did a paper round in the early 80s for Fred Dawes newsagent.. One the other paper boys used to deliver to Ronnie Corbetts home

i knew Mr & Mrs Corbett they loved this house and i knew the gardener who kept the garden immaculate ..now it's a disgrace the way this house has been treated and then to let it burn down no respect for for the house by the previous owner ... i know that Mrs Corbett is saddened by what has happened to it and she never wanted to sell it ......

This makes me feel so sad for Ortise...he didn't 'let' it go to ruin he was falsely accused of rape and targeted by an arsonist. He also lost ALOT of money due to the case and was finally found that she lied.

Wow it was only valued at 1.7 million in 2011,it looks huge and on a beautiful site...it's crazy the glass on the mirrors stayed intact with all that heat...that jls guy hadn't lived there for 12 months before the fire crazy he couldn't find a buyer...

It wasn't proven she lied at all. He was acquitted, this does not mean innocent. It means the prosecution wasn't able to provide enough evidence to obtain a guilty plea. That's all. Nothing in the trial proved anything. It didn't prove he didn't do it, it also didn't prove she lied about it.

This was a proper insurance job ! .. just days after that lad from whichever band got through his court case .. he needed the cash to pay his lawyers off ! .. poor old Ronnie would die again if he saw the state of the place now ! ... and incidentally i believe he sold it so his kids would have an inheritance as he was skint in later life ...

it looks to me to be just roof damage could defo be saved new roof cleaned out and a structure test to make sure its safe to rebuild if i had the money i would defo do it back up

Gosh it was probably a lovely place at one time.Whether it was an accident or somebody set it on fire on purpose they certainly made sure it was damaged thoroughly.Im guessing maybe it was already empty as there didnt seem to be any personal effects in there.Such a shame.

Did you also know Ronnie Corbett lived in this house .He owned it years ago then he purchased a bungalow in Croydon which he owned for over 40 yrs until his death. So that house does have some history

only way to save that is to gut the full building keep the walls and rebuild the roof and insides sadly that would cost more then just flatting it and building a new one in place of it, maybe the history of the building would make it a worth it.

The first room looked like it may of been a chapel in the past. I looked online and saw he was trying to sell but wouldn’t you think a little clothing may of been there or something? Maybe not if he was a neat, organized young man or just wanted all his stuff not to burn. But then he did leave the ‘girls,’ LOL.

Apparently this house actually sold in August 2020 for £500,000

The house that sold for £500k isnt this house which was called "Fairways". I believe that the Corbetts moved out of Fairways into a smaller property next door and Fairways was sold in 2011 for £1,700,000.
