How in the hell can they demolish this?? The age of the decor and wood alone 112 years old I mean come on. Whatever developer bought this has no taste for history or agriculture. I know…….all about the $$ What a shame!

@@kateschroth3304at first I thought this as well, then I saw the creepy basement with the kids' playroom and thought, "aww the hell wit 'dis" ... I'm an HVAC contractor in Toronto and I've seen my share of sketchy basements children in 1911 were really not regarded with much, and it shows here

The historical significance of this unique home should prevent it from being demolished! The craftsmanship in this place is phenomenal! That little room off the kitchen was probably a "butler's pantry." They were common in the turn of the century mansions.

This really saddened me. How in the world can this treasure be eliminated in favor of a hideous high rise?!? This house a creative endeavor of true craftsmanship and constructed without modern power tools. I would love to be able to restore a place like this to its original grandeur. It wouldn’t take all that much considering 500 yo shells of homes are often beautifully refurbished. Gorgeous woodwork throughout. Kitchen was so cool but would love to see the original aesthetic. Basement nice but somewhat eerie. That one closet with all the writing was odd. Maybe a rebellious teen lived there. The kiddie painted room right next to the creepy furnace room was odd also. The actual resemblance to titanic may make sense as they were constructed near the same time. Your documentation may be the only way of remembering such fine homes ever existed. Thanks for sharing this fine old home Ethan. Take care, be well and stay safe! Can’t wait to see what you share next time!

Ethan does it again. The woodwork is gorgeous. I can’t believe it orginated in the 1910. To sail the Titanic is truely a dream. All the rooms were insane. At least the basement wasn’t flooded. A huge kitchen. Lots of storage. Three floors upstairs is unique,so many bathrooms. ❤😊Too bad they had to ruin the closet with all the writing. Thanks for the beautiful home.

Hi Ethan! Beautiful home! Did them pass to any family members? Can you tell us the names of the people who died on the Titanic since the house is being torn down ? Sold to others? Kitchen was groovy! So someone lived there in the late 80’s based on the fridge. Love the pink room with marble bath. You are too funny. Lol! Circular shower, amazing! Master sweet, dressing room is still elegant. The bathrooms and kitchen were the stars. Except for you! Thanks so much!

Ethan even though the house itself was built in 1911 it looks like to me that they did a lot of remodeling from that point on after it was sold to other people, for years and because of the renovations that were made maybe that’s the reason why they decided to take it down, but you think they could refurbish it that’s for sure, but it is what it is. Thank you for sharing. Take care and be safe.🫶🏻🤠

Stove is 1957, Ethan. Looked up the year of manufacture. That kitchen was phenominal! That woodwork and molding, nothing made now will match that. They say that in the early 1900's things were built to last. Im not sure how things made now will last very long. This house is a treasure and its a shame to be knocking it down for a modern monstrosity.

The people in the area need to submit to city council to save this house and get it on the historical list. Find out the architect/builder, anything that will prove it's historical significance. Canada too easily allows these old grand mansions to be bulldozed for "progress". This place just needs some love. It is a stunner.

Hi Ethan WOW!!! What a mansion. 3 full floors and a basement. The basement was creepy. All those bedrooms on the second floor have their own bathrooms. Great for guests. Those marble fixtures were beautiful. What a shame that those people never made it back from the Titanic. That is a very tragic and sad story. This house should not be demolished. Are they serious? Some money hungry developer is going to put up high rise apartments. Is he out of his freakin mind? It’s all about the money. You know Ethan every time I see a lot of mirrors in these mansions I say there were narcissistic people living there. That’s just my opinion. A really really great explore.
