Thank you. The slum tag and "slum tours" need to stop ASAP. We are sick and tired of people from privileged societies coming to film what Kibera residents consider as normal life. Kenya is a country that has every type of housing situation. From the ultra rich in expensive mansions to the people living in shanties, ghettos, mud houses, carton boxes or bare pavements on the streets. What joy do people find in filming the private lives of people living in Kibera or people living in whatever circumstance that applies to them? What joy do foreigners get from tagging Kibera as the largest slum in Africa? These slum tours are too old, tired, overused and irrelevant. Let Kibera residents live in peace. There's nothing new about slums in this world and Kibera is not the only such place in Kenya. Sheesh nyi wazunye !! mna bo sana.

Hi Chris, it's no surprise that everyone is cautioning about the bridge, even going so far as to nickname it 'Zone No Go.' The name itself carries a warning tone, reinforcing the perception of its danger. I really feel sad and angry whenever I see these kinds of living conditions around the world. Lack of clean water, absence of schools for children, and the struggle for basic needs like food, water, medicine, and a secure home. It's so sad that these human families have to go through every day a survival challenge.

One of the reasons why people live like this in most African countries is that Africans don't give a damn about each other - even those in charge of the government don't care about their citizens or even the country itself. It probably has something to do with tribalism and lack of common culture/history. Social mobility is damn hard in these countries.
