In this video we head to the tidal pools on the coast of Eastern Australia! Join us to uncover hidden aquatic life teeming within the rock pools at night; a mini diorama of the larger ocean ecosystem.
We are joined by Finn and Wilson from Atlas Aquariums (home of the very popular slanted River Tank). They show us around Hastings Point in NSW, Australia, to explore the shores and estuaries, and see what aquarium fish and life we can find. We then explore the rock pools at night, uncovering a HUGE variety of organisms, and some rare finds.
On our way down, we meet at Arcy Discus Aquariums on the Gold Coast for a quick look at the store and update with Ross and Peta, who also join us later on with Peta's partner, Nathan, to see what we can find.
I really hope you enjoy the video!!

i always loved looking around rock pools when i was young, still do now when i get the chance. when i was a kid i went fishing in the tweed river. i was shocked when i got a bite and reeled in a broken beer bottle. There was a small octopus inside it. must have been over 35 years ago, but its something i will never forget.

Love these interesting vlogs, great fun! I watched octopus teacher too, made me cry at the end but so amazing. I’ve had my new first African Cichlid tank setup about 2 months now, got 8 electric yellows at the moment, it’s under stocked at the moment on purpose as I’m going away for 3 weeks soon so will make that easier for me! They are so interesting and loving my rocky scape 😊

There definitely is! I know there are some nice ones at Burleigh Beach on the Gold Coast, and all the way up to Cairns in North QLD too. It's definitely not restricted to NSW, but the types of organisms you would find would vary depending on how far North/South you go
