I don't understand why this kind of docu doesnt have millions of views! Good job Erwan and team! Ganun na lang ba kababaw ang entertainment ng Pilipinos, mas gusto yong kenkoy na vlogs hindi na dagdagan ang kaalaman about history/cultures of the different parts of the Philippines. Nakakalungkot 🥺.

The respect that Erwan showcased must be something that we Filipinos should embody as well. People from a certain place that you visit will bless you with more of what that place has to offer if you listen and understand their way of living. He have shown of what a tourist should do and not what you just want to do on that place.

Thank you so much for this, Erwan! We, Cordillerans, or better known as Igorots, are pretty much misconceived because of school materials published and "stories" being passed on that give wrong information about us. And I have a good feeling that this video will change all those wrong information that some people have. So thank you very much! 💕

Bro the North has sooo much to offer it's such a shame most tourists just go for the beaches in this country, not a shame because the beaches are amazing but just more missed opportunity of an unknown paradise that the North Is. Can't wait to go back up there.

I am from Buguias :) and I appreciate how you presented Buguias in this video. You showed respect to our tradition and culture. You took the time to know more about the place and the people. I particulary like the statement you said after visiting the burial site of apo Anno. Let me quote it here "These kinds of experiences will always leave you with a sense of respect and gratitude. I left with a better appreciation of how these traditions are being kept alive and how like the rivers that run through the mountain. They serve as a monument unmoved by time yet continously in motion. A lifeblood for their sense of place." Thank you!

I met a lola in Itogon before and she was talking to me in straight Ilocano and the whole time I was just mesmerized by looking at her. The creases on her face looked so beautiful. I never saw aging in the same light as before. The Cordilleras are really something. I'm from Mindanao but there's something about the mountains that's so magnetic to me. One of the places I long to return to because it always feels like a different realm but, at the same time, feels like home because of the warmth of the people. Looking forward to more of the other mountains, Erwan! The videos are always very much worth the wait! Thanks a lot!

I love the series! You nailed it when you said we, Igorots, needs to warm up with strangers but we are very hospitable and open when we see that you're a good person. Historically, due to tribal wars before we don't welcome strangers in an instant. Also, every tribe have their own "stereotypes" from shy types, fierce, loud or hot head. Thank you for featuring the Highlands because Cordillera is ripe for tourism but it only needed some exposure and good program from the DOT.

I was born and raised in this majestic picturesque part of the world where everybody knows everybody . Most of the locals in that part of town (Natubleng) is residing in Queens here in New York. So basically those that were left are their relatives who chose to live a simpler and peaceful life. I am very proud to have come from the part of the Philippines where culture doesn’t deprive people of freedom for radical thinking and yields quality education to compete in our fast paced society. We as Igorots have such a deep culture consolidated with contemporary social art grounded by our SINGULAR BELIEF as a Christian community with a twist of Pagan behaviors that will never cease to exist, which I’m very proud of. Statistics and all, the Igorots are in number 1 spot for Richest community in terms of lifestyle and culture. We just don’t brag about it. Most of the time we are deemed as ignorants and uneducated but we don’t really dwell on those fake news coz we know better. We’d rather focus on important issues in life than stoop down to our fellow Filipino’s behavior, which I think they got post-martial law (i.e. lazy people out in the streets drinking and partying a.k.a “tambay”). We are also not fond of celebrity status , we’d rather get our hands dirty (Gardeners work) and put food on the table. But I promise , we are very hospitable, not the Filipino way but the literal way. Coz Filipinos aren’t really Hospitable, anyone who passed through NAIA (international airport) knows what I’m talking about. Other nationalities are more hospitable than Filipinos. Accept that fact guys. Lastly, I wanna share some good thought, Filipinos should learn that a good success starts from the basic unit of society, a father , a mother, and the child . Only that! PS. Erwan knows what I’m talking about. And shout out to my uncles in the vid. Namwaw! Ciao!

Got almost teary eyed upon hearing the gongs rang. The Cordilleran culture is nostalgic, even though I only witnessed a glimpse of it during my 5-year stay in Baguio as a student. The music "Tribute to the Cordilleras" heard often during the Panagbenga Festival feels so cathartic as well.

Hi Erwan, Thank you for taking time to explore, meeting our IP leaders and showcasing our culture. I born and raise in Buguias and lived near Nabalicong. My mother said that Apo Anno was our great great great ancestors. I do agree with one of the elders; due to Christianity and I can say technology and immigration of younger generation are the reasons why the tradition and culture slowly diminishing. However, the indigenous leaders and groups are working to preserve the traditions so we can pass it to the next generations. I do agree with Erwan, it takes time for us(igorot) to warm up but once you get to know us we can be as friendly. Kudos to you Erwan, I"m looking forward to watch your educational and informative videos.

there's no better Pinoy vlogger who could have crispy cut, poetically expresses his thoughts about Ibalois and Igorots culture was way simple and clear. Best vlogger and traveler by far. I'm from both provinces but barely see those destinations. Wow been hearing about Apo Ano but haven't seen his mummified coffin yet. haha nailed it! Absolutely agree with you, about travelling - take instagramable pose & eat the food then whoops done, get connected in a bit with locales truly.
