During a snowy spell in March, I decided to head up to the north Yorkshire Dales in search of some proper winter weather and some remote bothies too.
The hike in was tough going thanks to pathless terrain and snow drifts, which were nearly waist deep in places!
The bothy I reached at the end made it all worthwhile. Perched on top of a high moorland hill, I enjoyed a roaring fire, food and drink. It was a great place to take refuge from the blizzard, which enveloped my home for the night. What a place!
