The motor runner package of Baihetan is 7,500 tonne. That is as heavy as the Eiffel Tower. There is a lot of technology in this world's second largest power plant.

Gradual improvement like concrete mixture and reliable supply are important in the megaproject. In fact, most important problem of mega-projects is, the sheer volume of small problems which could be solved easily. :-)

I love these huge projects. The scale of the preparation rock work and then the concrete placement is colossal, I want to have a good look around there.

The power generated by a single turbine in 24 hours is enough to supply 500,000 people (Not 500 000 families ) with electricity for a whole year.

insane... achieving 1GW of power is quite pretty expensive projects how much more if that is 6Phase alternator it can produce around 5GW of power per unit..

"1 million kilowatts"? Surely easier to just say 1GW? "one thousand thousand thousand watts"!! Wow that's a lot of watts! And the other guy saying one GW per day? GW is joules per second, so 10^12 joules per second per day makes no sense. GJ S-2?? What is he talking about? Is the world run by arts students?

The presenters have long since become stupefied; they cannot even know anything superficially. Of course, 1,000,000 kW sounds much more crazy than 1 GW.

Stop building dams on the upper Mekong River, which China shares with many countries. In the lower reaches of the river, the water shared by many countries is monopolized by the construction of dams in China. Aren't the people of the lower classes starving to death because they don't even have water for farming? The Mekong River is not only used by the Chinese, it is a common river.
