Im living in australia and I went there since my gf is living there. It was really lovely place! Weather is calm and nice. Food is always tasty. People are really nice and kind.

My husband and I are fixing to visit my brother and his wife in Christchurch. They have lived there for a good 10 years now. I live in San Diego, so it's a loooooong way to visit him. He loves it there and says he will never come back to the states to live.

I always enjoy seeing people travelling around my home town and hearing their views of the city. There does seem to be an increase in industrial looking buildings outside the 4 Avenues, but the surrounding small towns not far outside of Christchurch are quite nice to visit for a change. 🙂

The west side of the city is nice though. Driving from the airport to the central city is lovely - the houses are attractive and there are lots of trees and parks along the way. So not all areas of the city look run down

I have spent a fair bit of time in Christchurch visiting my son and friends. I also am a true blue Canadian and recognized that you were before I even read your shirt! I enjoy Christchurch for a visit but definitely could never live there. Like you say the downtown core is really neat with lots of things happening. However, once you get past the downtown area … the Botanic Gardens and Hagley Park … that’s about it and many parts are very grim looking. I was disappointed in the beaches. I expected them to be more like the ones in Sydney, Australia. Love suntanning and running into the water to cool off … but not on those beaches. Sand is very dark and the water is freezing. Most people use the beaches to walk their dogs. Anyway, just wanted you to know I enjoyed your video and I agree with all that you said!

There is a lot changing in the city and in 10 years it will be a different place entirely so you will probably change some of your views in the future but some of the your points now I are true but great vid.
