After finishing uni I knew that I wanted to spend a bit of time travelling and so started off with a solo trip to Scotland. I had the best time exploring the beautiful city of Edinburgh as well as the highlands and I cannot wait for the next adventure. loved thevlog! I'm actually heading out to Edinburgh tomorrow but since I always do everything last minute, I haven't done much planning yet ^^ so this was super helpful! there's even still slots for the highland tours available so I'm def gonna book that~

Well done getting to the top of Arthurs sear!! I climbed it New Years day 2020, it was freezing cold and muddy and the hardest thing I've done 😂 But the view was amazing hahaha and I had come all the way from Western Australia so was happy I did it!

How were you able to get to the highlands? Did you take a bus tour?

Yes I went on a guided tour with Scottish Highland Tours. Their office is on the royal mile and they pick you up in a minibus from there. It’s roughly a 12 hour day trip before the drop you off at the same place again 😊

Do you mind sharing your itinerary? I am trying to plan a solo scotland trip by train and am trying to go to the exact same spots as you!

Of course! Here is an itinerary of what I did on this particular trip: Day 1 - travel to Edinburgh and hike Arthur’s Seat Day 2 - Dean Village, Circus Lane and the Botanical gardens Day 3 - A tour of the highlands with Highland Experience Tours Day 4 - Visit South Queensferry In between each activity there was lots of reading in princes street gardens and shopping on the royal mile etc I’ve been back to Edinburgh since and have enjoyed going to the camera obscura museum, going book shopping at Armchair books and climbing Calton Hill (especially if you don’t fancy the hike up to Arthur’s seat). On my previous visit I also went to a pizza place called @pizza which was lovely. And the endless coffee shops in Edinburgh old town are all gorgeous! Hope that helps. @@taniaalexis6919 This is SO helpful!! I actually booked my travel yesterday! It will be into Inverness September 5th, Glassgow September 7th, and Edinburgh September 9th! - Your tips are all being added to my itinerary plan now :)
