Very interesting trip. Thanks Chris Abroadinjapan for letting your subscribers know about this channel. It's been very educational so far. Question- Onsen generally means off limits or only private for people with tattoos. Is this the case for the Fukushima Onsen also?

Huh. That onsen resort--I wonder if that was the inspiration behind some of the scenes from Outlaw Star's Planet Tenrei episode.

In regards to radiation, yes it is. They have the worst areas blocked off...
@Hwyadylaw

And as far as I know the blocked off area is not that big compared to the size of entire Fukushima-ken.

+Tuton2 can you explain that a bit more, how much do you have to be cautious about it and where is it the most severe?

Alice Matthews As long as you don't enter the red zone you shouldn't have any problems. Even if you do enter, you have to get pretty close to the reactor for it to affect your health. You can probably stay in the red zone for over a week without any problems as long as you're not at the actual reactor

Good video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!

I have an acute ear for accents and Kim’s accent annoys the hell out of me. Her Asian tinged Australian accent just sounds disgusting and painful to listen to.
