Was there last week as part of a trip to the French Riviera and Barcelona. Used Genova as our base to explore the Italian Riviera. It was a pleasant surprise. Went to Genoa in May this year. Fantastic little city. The people are really proud of it and want to keep it clean and the harbour plastic free. Not joking, on the Porto Antico there's a bin every 3 metres. I was super lucky that the entire time I was there there was a Slow Food fish festival going on. People from all over the world were selling fish, pasta, gelato and loads and loads of different beers from Italy. Great place and relatively cheap. Will definitely go again.

@europa and Asia and USA and south africa They are everywhere in Italy, and unfortunately, they are destroying our cities, killing people, doing horrible graffitis on our beautiful buildings, selling drugs and robbing tourists, they run away from their homeland because of wars but when they are here they cause a lot of problems, our government is blocking them and in 2018, immigration percentage is -80% compared to 2017. But immigration is not our only problem, and most of Italians don't understand it. There are also good people between them of course.

As an Italian I totally agreed, if was not for cars, motorcycles and modern clothes it seems to be in 15th or 16th century when you walk in center of city (smeel included sometimes). Definitely my favourite city but it's criminally underrated (even by Italian people) but maybe it's better like this so it is not packed with tourists like Rome, Florence or Venice.

Dude, you walked all around the central square (Piazza de Ferrari) but missed it entirely on the video. Thank you though for your excitement about the city, which I share. I was born and raised there but I now live in the States. Lamentably, most videos capture only the old town of Genova, but the city stretches more than 25 kilometers along the sea and in some of the peripheral areas is where you find the real jewels. Hopefully you'll get to visit again and have time to take it all in. Keep traveling, Bro.

Dude, you looked straight at the Piazza De Ferrari and walked on! You really missed out on a cultural, historical and architectural nexus in Genoa!

Dang, too bad. When I'd looked on google maps a few minutes before I thought it was straight ahead, but I guess I was off by a block. I was distracted because I was filming and thought I was there.

Just a tip, don’t stay in the main town for the whole vacation but try to visit also the eastern part like chiavari, nervi or sestri levante, i’m sure u’ll love it. The western is beautiful aswell but is less touristic

Hi Gabriel, Oh yes Genova very interesting and a lively city but what surprised me most is how many foreigners I saw in this city many with small businesses. There must be something there attracting people from different places.

Hi, to see the mine city from a tourist's eyes is very interesting and quite strange :-D I'm glad you liked HER even if the tour has been very "limited" due to the time available, i suppose, (in the video you missed Piazza De Ferrari....but by few meters :-D ). If you'll come again to Genoa, please don't hesitate to write me, I'll be very pleased to guide you around this magic, difficult, enchanting, hateble and to be discovered city. Thanks a lot and, please, come back soon.... :-D
