Absolutely a beautiful site to behold. Growing up as a child there only read about it but didn't know it was so breathtaking. Myself and family returned in 2015 and couldn't believe how majestic it is. Wish the government would turn it into a major tourist attraction. Thank you for visiting my country.

Even the river is small and low the falls are spectaculair !! In the raining time , the river can be as high as over 6 meters and 90 meters wide! No such high waterfalls in Suriname. Nice excemples of waterfalls in Suriname are the wonotobo falls in the west and the Apoema falls in the east.
