We explore the secure, easy to use and versatile nature of verifiable credentials in a real life use case with MATTR's very own The Kingdom of Kākāpō demo.
The demo shows how verifiable credentials can be used when you settle into a new country.
Imagine you're a new citizen in The Kingdom of Kākāpō and you've just been issued your new passport - this demonstrates a verifiable credential being used as a proof of identity. Once you've claimed your new passport (proof of identity), this enables you to take this proof of identification to open a utilities account for your new home and open a bank account.
Check out our video and you can try out the The Kingdom of Kākāpō demo for yourself by going to:

Download the MATTR wallet from the App Store and Google Play store.
Presenter: Preet Patel | Product Development Engineer
Fun fact: The Kākāpō bird is a native bird (a proud patriot) in New Zealand
