I’m originally from St. Maries and my grandfather worked for the Milwaukee RR as an engineer back in the 1940s in Avery and later as a forester for their land company. I know the nameless rivers of which you speak. I rode this gravel last summer and it’s pretty great. The scenery is not bad either.

Ayyye! Check out the Moonlit Fly Fishing Lunar S-Glass. You can get them from 2wt-8wt, and they are all 4-piece rods, made up in Driggs! I use them when I motocamp/fish, I needed something that could pack super small, and it also happens to be my favorite rod to fish!

What I liked best is how happy you two are! Since Laura quit AC to work full time with you Russ, it seems like a great mental weight has been lifted. Good thing Laura caught a fish at the end to save your skin because I was beginning to believe you are lousy fisher people 😃. But, as usual the secret fishing spot has been kept secret. How do you expect me “pay lake” you when I don’t know where it is? Here in the Midwest pay lake is a derogatory term because if you ever fish one, as soon you catch a fish everybody runs/boats over next to you and drops their line in 😂. Thanks for another great video

If you had a full life of negative encounters with dogs as I have, you might not be so judgemental of me. I have had distinctly unpleasant relationships with dogs, which is putting it mildly. I feel sorry for dogs. They can't help that they were born as dogs, or that the people who came to be their owners were negligent in keeping them on their property. If you are offended and think me to be not a nice person because of how my experience with dogs shaped my opinion of dogs, I can live with that. My cat and I agree; we both have been attacked by dogs and we both hate dogs. When I found a sick calf in my pasture, whose ears had been chewed off by dogs, down to the poor animal's skull, that pretty much did it for me. The bike crashes, broken collar bone and bites on my thigh, all from dogs, were just the icing on top.

@@PathLessPedaledTV You mentioned the heat, so that's why I was so surprised that you would be wearing a hat with essentially zero ventilation. Spend a lot of time in TX, and hats there are a rarity there even in winter. I did buy my wife a Kask Protone Peak helmet, which she likes a lot. Nice shedding sun and occasional rain drops, while still retaining plenty of ventilation. There has to be an aftermarket peak that you can attach to any helmet, just haven't seen one.
