In Hi start mode there is an automatic ignition so you can leave the ignition switch off.

Posted a comment but I think it got trapped. Great minds think alike. Spent all weekend in the Azores playing with stabilizing my VR. In my other comment, I said I waved, but you didn't see me ;) Incidentally, hotel mode in the ATR works pretty reliably for me now in my current startups. Thanks for the help working through that. I have it timestamped in my most recent vid if you are curious. Thanks as always for the vids and tips.

Recently picked up the Kodiak. Don't know why the hell I didn't get it sooner. Seriously, the best Turbo-prop in my hangar.

The intertial separator is on the panel where lights and anti ice are situated.

While modeled beautifully, this plane is hard to start properly and experience engine failure after takeoff. You must return to menu to start again. Very annoying and takes away from the fun of flying it. I was able to start it by watching you but failed right after takeoff. You can't go full throttle even for a minute. You should be able to go for 5 minutes. But the developer say with this plane you cannot. This doesn't seem right to me but I'm not a pilot.

I just watch the manifold pressure, torque and RPM guages in most aircraft - and ignore the throttle position.

I did the same in DCS with P51 mustang. Then I got my brain on, my eyes on and actually started reading numbers on the virtual paper in the cockpit.
