This reminds me of a story where my brother was a member of a drumline for an HBCU band in Winston. We were a team since jump and it carried over when we picked up indie music. We literally did everything by ourselves. On the Eastern side where we're from, a lot of the same things that happen in most of the places where you can't leave backpacks in your car because someone is watching you. We grew up together learning to keep our heads swiveling. Back to marching band; I was a member of a drumline in our hometown in Durham and we both had games on Saturday like most colleges with football teams. After the game there's this thing called 5th Quarter, when the bands basically go at it, back and forth, song after song. Usually the drumlines "block up" and "punch"(cadence for cadence). Usually this takes place once the school song is played and can be another 1 hour to the game,. No lie, probably the most fun things you could ever do if you love the performance art of music.It's like a different stage every Saturday afternoon. After their 5th Quarter one particular on s Saturday in October in Charlotte, their charter cus was broken into. The students had been violated in the last way they thought they would. Who'd break into a Charter bus right? My point, it sucks. I sold him my MacBook because he was making the beats I was recording on. That was my brother and I gave him a deal Apple couldn't match for the dollar and quality. We're still working without roadblocks. It goes to show that if you love what you're doing; you're gonna do it. Peace and Blessings.
