Hi, l'm a New Zealander and live in the north of the South lsland. The south island is inundated with an abundance of natural wild and untamed beaty. Captivating snow peaks, beautiful picturesque lakes and rivers and also acres of unspoilt native fauna. A veritable paradise. The North Island where l am originally from has a much warmer climate and it's own different scenic attractions and activities. If you love the outdoors lifestyle. We kiwi are very fortunate and a mostly welcoming of foreigners who choose to visit or settle here. Great video...have a nice day 👍

A few trips from a born and bred local. DON'T go all Hollywood, celebrity, millionaire etc - like this blog is encouraging you to do. That's NOT a Kiwi experience or the Kiwi way. We are never impressed by such shallow BS and rhetoric. You can experience all NZ has to offer without the tedious snobbery and pretension. You will win no friends here prancing around like an entitled Empress or Lord. Kiwi's are humble and understated. You need to be as well. Keep your Hollywood wanabe bravado & look-at-me theatrics for elsewhere. Also its NOT a Kiwi-Bird. Its just a Kiwi. You said Kiwi birds and Penguins. You didn't say Penguin birds and wouldn't say eagle or duck birds etc .. so dont say Kiwi birds. They are just Kiwi. And while Milford Sound is beautiful (and it is) prepare to be eaten alive by sand-flies. They never mention that in the flashy travel blogs. And lastly DON'T swim with dolphins or interfere with the wildlife. Many species are critically endangered. Look from a distance, but dont touch. And yes it is uncrowded, green and unspoiled, and we locals want to keep it that way.
