Today we take my Land Cruiser into the remote wilderness of Idaho to hit some off-road 4x4 trails with some Jeep Willy's wagons that will lead us to a fire tower, lake, and a gold dredge. Also this will give me an opportunity to ensure the reliability of the newly built engine, and test out my simple truck camping setup! We will be coming back, what a beautiful area with so much to offer!

Very cool video. I've always wandered how far down that road you can go on your first trail! Nice to see what the lake looks like. For the state park, there's even more to see! I missed the dredge, but there are some great mineshafts and buildings to take a look at. Some really cool mining roads to access that would be great for your land curiser too! That area is so full of stuff to explore, and tons of elevation too.

Great video. Thanks for making it for all to see. Beautiful country in Idaho.I have a 1996 Landcruiser and am amazed on where it'll go without lockers.

If you get a chance take the tour of that Yankee Fork Dredge. $5. There is also a museum over in Clayton that's interesting and a bar across the street where you can get some food.

Fricken BEAUTIFUL! I moved to Spokane with my 95 80series. Been wanting to explore more of Idaho, hopefully 2024 summer. Just finishing up new coolant install, valve cover, water pump, etc. Good video! Be blessed!

Man, dude living the dream. I love our 80 but I’ve always had a special place for Willys wagons. Very cool. I’ve been following your build, finding a lot of inspiration in what you’ve done to your 80. Hope to get it to a point where we can explore like this come summertime.

Hi again. I realize that this is an older video but just in case; you may want to consider removing your rear mudflaps. I have owned three 80’s and the first one I left them on because they did such a great job at keeping the crud off. What happens is you’ll drop off a ledge or shelf at some point and that plastic will push the whole fender flare up and tear the crap out of the fender. If your lucky that’s all that will happen. Ask me how I know. Love the footage and content brother. You should be proud of what you’ve done with that build. 👍🏻

Pretty awesome. Do you still have the rear heater in the 80? Maybe invest in some inexpensive electric seat heater elements. I have them in my 80 and they are awesome for the Minnesota winters. I think they are like $25 for 2. Something like that. Sleeping in the 80 is a million times warmer than in a silly tent that's for sure.
