Last month, my friends and I stayed at Siquijor province for more than three days. Siquijor is also called Isla de Fuego due to the light coming from fireflies in their mangrove trees at night. Others know it as the Mythical Island of Central Visayas. Still others, the Healing Island! At nandito kami para magheal, yes!!!
Most tourists only do a day tour at Siquijor when they are in Dumaguete and it’s very feasible! They may take the OceanJet ride from Dumaguete at 7 am and return back to Siquijor at 5 or 6 in the afternoon. But if you do not want to rush things like us, I recommend staying here for at least three days! Even a week!
