You make a great point about how even within each season we all have shades that work better for us than others. Each of have some variation and what is most flattering Isn’t the same for everyone. I also love the contrast of Winters it doesn’t work for everyone but just as an example black and white combo is one of my favorites for Winters.

Thank you! This is the first time I understand and actually can envision myself in and as the winter color pallet. Being a dark winter and seeing the differences makes sense as to why I didn't like so many of the Winter color options. You also explained very nicely the difference in a more subtle contrast which is why it's been hard for me as I don't have that True Winter look. Much appreciated!

so interesting - where i fall on bright/true/dark seems to vary depending on the colour i'm most frequently in true winter shades, bordering on bright due to my preferences, but my best reds and greens are exclusively dark winter shades (brights look clown-ish on me), meanwhile my best purples are bright winter (dark dulls me), with pinks bordering true/bright (dark ages me), and yellow only complements me in a very specific bright winter shade and only in small details/accessories (every other shade makes me look sick) i've been confused about my subseason for years but never broken it down like this before i guess different colours probably just bring out different colours in my complexion/hair/eyes and skew me in one direction or the other in context with that colour...? it also varies on the colours' proximity to my face it's cool to get a confirmation of what i'd organically figured out already, i love the flexibility of dipping more towards dark or bright to switch up my vibe

This is a great resource! Question: how do you feel about the 16 color analysis? I'm struggling to find much about True Cool (which I suspect I might be), and love your take on style.

the pictures are sometimes a miss. true winter is the coolest one, just like the left side says. so, for example, the apple is the coolest red out there, so it matches true winter better than dark winter. same with 3rd red dress from dark winter, its the coolest red clothing there, so its true winter instead.. 1st and 3rd blue clothing from dark winter would work best on true winter and non-cloth examples of greens from true winter are a total miss, except for the third one. they're just too warm. dark winter ones are far cooler. i'd switch the snake with the blue bright winter blue/green for example. only violet/pink examples are without any flaw.
