The Meiringen-Innertkirchen Railway is a metre-gauge railway line in the Swiss canton of Bern. It covers a distance of 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) between Innertkirchen and Meiringen, where it connects with the Brünig line of the Zentralbahn company, which links Interlaken and Lucerne. Much of the line runs through the scenic Aare gorge, a must-visit part of Switzerland.
The landscape in this area is absolutely gorgeous, and many of the stations are very unique. Most notable is the Aareschlucht Ost station, which is a request-stop station inside a tunnel, whose entrance is built out of a glacial spiral. Enjoy!
